Is Joel Embiid going to be day to day forever?

Is that his status for the rest of his career?

    Who knows LB.
I would think a minute limit but have him play all/most games would be more beneficial.

    Fultz is back soon.

14-18 in the East 6 years into "the process" must be disappointing to Philly fans.

Knicks have been tough at home as of late, only -1.5. Tip coming up.

Hope you had a better Sunday than me. Lost bets in every way possible and some I thought were impossible.

    Merry Christmas

    Hopefully not Greg Oden like

This Embid guy special when healthy, and has prolly played more games in his career already than Oden...

Teams shouldn't pay guys like Embiid and Anthony Davis let alone to build around them. Can't win when your main guys are not there.

Should certainly pay injury prone players in accordance to their minutes played during a season... Just like most jobs, you punch a time clock and get paid when you work.. You don't punch the time clock you don't get paid.. NBA Contracts aren't worked that way though unfortunately..

Philly tough when Embiid starts and plays that's all I know and especially at home..

Kanter and the Knicks never stood a chance to win this game today.. Knicks have to many white boys.. Kanter decent though... This is a black mans sport..

anthony davis is a huge pussy but he plays most games and huge minutes.

just never seen a guy go back to the locker room so much, or not finish games.

embiid on the other hand has missed like the equivlent of 3 full seasons

As usual, showing your true colors.

Of course the team wants him to play, HE wants to play! The problem is with an orbital fracture, if it isn't healed properly and he takes an elbow to the face, then it could potentially cost him his eyesight for life. Or at the very least, done for the playoffs. And you know that every time he steps on the floor the Heat will put Whiteside in there and elbows will be flying on every rebound. Sure it's easy to say, "Oh he's wearing a mask. He'll be fine." And he might be. Or he might get whacked and a $100M franchise player goes down with a career ending injury.

Bottom line is this is a VERY tough call. The risk is very real but so is the reward. If he does play in this series his minutes will be limited. I say he gives it a go in Game 4 or 5.
