How Do You Evacuate Puerto Rico?

I saw that they were calling for evacuations because of Hurricane Maria. Where the heck do these people go? It's not like they have a mainland to go to.

What did they do in the past? People have been living in Puerto Rico for hundreds of years and there were hurricanes then. They seemed to survive...

    You don't

We've already learned hurricanes are pussies

    Think about these numbers

Hippos kill 2900 people a year
Autoerotic asphyxiation kills 600 people a year
FALLING OUT OF BED kills 450 people a year
Icicles kill 100 people a year IN RUSSIA
Ants, Fukking ants, kill 30 people a year
Vending machines kill 13 people per year

And Hurricanes kill 17 people per year

Move on, Puerto Rico will be fine

I know right and I just cant be moved by these so-called hurricanes. I mean if you want me to be concerned for my safety stop giving them old grandma names like Irma, if you want me to take them seriously heck name it Death or Satan, that might make me tune in to the broadcasts.

Falling out of bed kills that many, damn. My 20 pound dog fell off the bed, and I thought he was gonna be dead but he made it. He's old as fck too. Surprised he didn't break his back.

mac 4 lyfe thinks these are the most dangerous events on earth. he even claims to have bought a 4000.00 inflatable survival boat in case another one in a hundred year flood hits houston.

Who in the fukk is this bitch^? He/she must be a girl because she's on my nuts in every thread. Are you an ex? Let me tell you again... Fukk off. I have zero problems, so money certainly ain't one of them. Why don't we do a ban bet. I'll video me unwrapping the boat and you get the fukk off this site. Deal?

Where should people evacuate? I would think they should move inland and ideally to higher ground, like in the mountains in the rain forest. You have to move off the coastline, so you can avoid the storm surge by moving inland and you have to be in a building strong enough to withstand the winds. There's a lot of people that live a few blocks to the ocean. Those people should evacuate. The right side of a mountain would seem to be safe but I don't know anyone personally that tried it. The higher you go might actually be worse? Maybe a cave in the mountain would be best. You are definitely stuck on an island but you can at least avoid surges.

    lets be honest here

hopefully everyone evacuates to cuba successfully, we pay a decent amount per person for any losses ($26) and the whole island floods

    best thing that could happen

It's the water/ flooding that may kill but worse kills power and prohibits delivery of food and water.

A PR evacuation I'm guessing means get to high ground with centralized planning so resources can be delivered post hurricane.

Is hurricane Maria Puerto Rico's bail-out?
The island too smart to fail.

Puerto Rico declares bankruptcy. Here's how it's going to unfold
