I wonder why Ricky Lee has never posted on here. Sword carrying, dice rolling, mullet wearing, subterranean gangster. He would be a legend

"I like it down here (the tunnels under the strip) because you can be anything you want: a drug addict, a thief... or a worker."

Las Vegas the only city housing right next to the strip is $600 a month

Downtown about $400 a month any other city in the world that's considered Third World pricing

I moved to Vegas in 1983 and it was a nice place to live, when I moved in 2001 it had become a toilet. Have been back a few times since I moved and seems to be getting worse with every visit.

You name it it got worse especially crime, I think biggest change was the character of the people that moved there.

I agree, I first began visiting in the late 90s and it was fun, you could steer clear of the annoying and classless people, and decent wagers- even book play, was respected and rewarded.

I feel like a box in a warehouse now when I check into any hotel- just not the same experience. See so many more poor trashy couples pushing their kids around in strollers at midnight, so many sleeveless, tactless bums sitting in on $25 tables, even in classy upper end strip places and absolutely no manners from the books customers, while watching games. Beggars everywhere, drunks everywhere....There is just no filter on the modern day Vegas degenerate....thats my gripe.

Legalized gaming casinos across the US and offshore sports betting was the stake through the heart of Vegas..

    AC suffering as well.......

Vegas/AC just needs to downsize to fit the market is all.....

Demographics aren't all that different IMO. The Mexicans that come here come to work, not squat on welfare, so they're generally a really good addition to the city.

Vegas' bad areas grew a little bit while the nice areas grew exponentially. If you put yourself in a bad area like a dumbass, you're probably going to think it's always like that.

Been here 11 years, not seeing many bad changes. Seeing a lot of good ones though.

I've watched some of Ross Kemp's documentaries, and some of the interviews seem fake.

    The place has zero identity

It draws screwballs from people across the United States like myself but then I realize it's time to get out of here

When I was there in March it was that pig mask robbery at Bellagio and the bus holdup in front of the Cosmo within a 8 hour time span, I think 3 am to 11am.

I respect Ralphie's take as usual.

I must say though it would be nice to get books working in different locations, so I can travel to spots not as far out of the way as Vegas, with my friends to watch March Madness, etc.
