I agree, I first began visiting in the late 90s and it was fun, you could steer clear of the annoying and classless people, and decent wagers- even book play, was respected and rewarded.

I feel like a box in a warehouse now when I check into any hotel- just not the same experience. See so many more poor trashy couples pushing their kids around in strollers at midnight, so many sleeveless, tactless bums sitting in on $25 tables, even in classy upper end strip places and absolutely no manners from the books customers, while watching games. Beggars everywhere, drunks everywhere....There is just no filter on the modern day Vegas degenerate....thats my gripe.

Any desert community is going to have people like this jj. I lowered my guard and some degenerate stole like 3 bottles of Fiji water when I was cashing out shooting the shit with writer a few nights ago... taught me a lesson though because I usually leave my backpack on my seat with my electronics, iPad, iPhone, etc
My back was turned maybe 80 seconds. Ticket writers told me brokedikks get caught taking people's half empty drinks all the time.

Just watched this and I am in shock frankly. Living in small town Wisconsin most of my life this is sad to me. Ive never been around the drugs, the gangs, the violence etc. Visiting there I would probably be scared shitless honestly. I think ill just stay home.
