What exactly does "better lines" even mean? The line is the line. Sometimes I can squeeze an half a point using one book over another, but that doesn't make their line "better."

Their is a BIG difference if one line is -110 and I get the same line at -104

    Massive difference
-110 bettor has no shot vs -104 bettor

So, you like the fav in a certain college football game. One book is offering -7 one is offering -6.5 same juice. Which line is better for your wager?

20 cent MLB & NHL lines vs. 10 cent lines
-115 juice on live betting vs. -110
-105 juice on spreads vs. -110
    Vegas Futures odds vs. Offshore

Vegas gets consistently crushed by offshore in the examples above. Your state's casino/racebook will be something to reference but it will not be competitive with offshore nor will it create a more efficient market. If btc gets clamped down on, then I could see bettors getting quick cash and sacrificing juice vs. waiting for a dodgy Canadian check in the mail. Squares will get roped in during NFL season, sharps will still bet offshore.

I would argue that because of pure convenience it'll require offshore or locals to make their product that much more enticing. WIN WIN WIN for us
When US players have a viable US option, then offshores will treat US players way better than they have previously.

    I don't consider that a line, that's juice.

Yes I get it but that doesn't make sense to the statement made.

The statement was made that "offshore books have better lines." A sportsbook with the better line on Game A might have the worse line on Game B.

I play on Bookmaker.eu and their lines and juice are no different than any Vegas casino I've been to (and I've been to most of 'em). I don't know where people are saying BM.eu has less juice.... they charge you -110 on a typical play just like everyone else.

Yes, offshore books tend to have more options, but mostly on stuff I don't care about anyway. I am not a big prop bettor. Give me side, total, and the occasional 2nd half line.

Overall Offshore 10x better than Vegas

Any serious player in Vegas has offshore accounts

Yup, 52.38% vs 50.98% to break even, long term that's a big difference indeed.

Offshore is the king so far.

Only difference is... people like cash in hand... and the thrill of winning in person. Only reason to wager in Vegas etc.
