Los Angeles Clippers to win the NBA championship (+5500)...

    This should be pretty easy.

First round versus Utah: they have manhandled them 18 out of 20. Enough said. Cakewalk there.

Second round versus Golden State: This one might be the one that gives them trouble. Hopefully their big guys can out-muscle the Warriors inside. Keep in mind, Golden State has never beat the Clippers in the playoffs. It's important you know that.

Conference finals versus San Antonio: Matchup problems all over the court for the geriatric Spurs. Clippers in a waltz.

Finals versus Cleveland: Lebron just doesn't have the stamina after appearing in his seventh straight NBA finals. He bows out gracefully allowing his good friend Chris Paul the rights to his first ring.

This has been brought to you by Colin Cowherd's daughter. Check her out, surprisingly hot:

Nice. The warriors own them though. The Spurs are not going to the west final

Clippers might take out Utah, but they will hit a road block against the Warriors.. KD, Step, and Klay Thompson will be too much on the perimeter for CP3 and JJ Redick...

Clippers won't be able to match the fire power and will get outscored, besides that they won't even have home court advantage...

Clippers bigs may help them win a few games at home though..

Warriors are likely a problem, but I needed incentive to root for the Clippers. I figured it was worth a buck.

What about Colin's daughter? Hot, yes? That was the real point of this thread.

I'm kinda liking that Atlanta Hawks series price against the Wiz myself..

Hawks showed alot of heart closing out the season, very dangerous team.. Beat on the Cavs, won games with injured players out that they weren't suppose to win. Paul Milsap having his best season in the NBA also IMO, Etc...

It might be a decent play, I thought the line was going to be a little higher.

Atlanta getting some respect from the oddsmakers.

If Dwight Howard really shows for once in these playoffs they have a chance to win the East.. BIG IF though.. I think Dwight needs to play large and control the boards and protect the paint..

Hawks already showed they can play with Lebron and the Cavs...

I liked the odds for them to win the East anyways... I threw a ten spot on it anyways with all my books, why not? ...

Dwight Howard might be my least favorite player in all of basketball. I can't stand that asshole. I hope for your sake he steps up. You're getting better odds than I am on my bet, and you only need to win three rounds. Not bad.

The funny thing is (and this goes for me too), if we just rolled our money over every round, we would likely get much better odds.

I can't stand Dwight Howard either.. He's a big baby.. Still like I said if shows for once he could be the difference..

You got that right on series price rollover value vs win it all price futures...

I'm rolling $100 on the Hawks in each round as well as I just didn't mention that.. Rolling $500 on the Warriors as well with each round..

Not so sure the Hawks series rollover price can beat that +5500 future price though? That's why I took it..

Can also arb/hedge out on those futures if they gain momentum..

I'd be curious what the rollover number was on the Warriors.

I see they're about -178 to win at all.

I wonder what your $500 could get you rolling it. Did you actually put $500 on them at -5800 versus Portland?

What would the numbers be against the Clippers, Spurs, and Cavaliers be? They must be massive. -1300, -700, and -300, maybe?

Yep, you beat me to it..

The nice thing about these futures if you do get past a few rounds the hedge is in serious play.. Can't do that as effectively with each series play and rolling it over..

Well the series price with GS vs Blazers is crap, not even worth playing in that first round.. After that it could get good.. If the Warriors meet the Cavs again in the finals that series price might even be better value then the Warriors to win it all future right now at -178..

As far as that Hawks future to win the East, not so convinced the Hawks series to series rollover price can beat that +5500 future price though? That's why I took it..

I disagree. I think it's pretty much a given you always get better numbers rolling it over, unless something happens along the way. Like Cleveland getting eliminated by someone else or something.

Let me punch some numbers in here for Atlanta.

    First round versus Washington: +190

    Second round versus Boston: +280...?

    Third round versus Cleveland: +400...?

Wow, pretty close. Keep in mind I was just guessing with those numbers, but that came to +5410. I think the numbers could be higher though, especially versus Cleveland. Of course, if someone knocks out Cleveland, you can't get a better number than what you have

Hard to peg that down Giant to compare, depends on who they match up with in rounds 2 and 3? If there are early upsets then projected match ups and odds change.. Based on what you projected above with the favorites it is close..

There are limits with each online sportsbook unfortunately on these futures.. Probably $50, $100 or maybe if you're lucky $500 is the limit on this future from book to book if I had to guess..

    Have they ever?

I'm pretty sure I'm getting a raw deal here, unless something miraculous happens, like Portland eliminating Golden State or Lebron breaking a leg.

    Let's do the numbers:

Versus Utah: -230. Golden State: +500. San Antonio: +180. Cleveland: +180.

    That comes to +6649.

    I'm getting robbed.

    Probably.

I was thinking earlier today, wouldn't the NBA look so much better if Golden State and Cleveland didn't exist?

Seriously, I think it would. It would suck to lose some great players, but at least there would be parity in the league. It's way too top-heavy right now. I hate it.
