So I never bet big on futures, but I just did for fun on this one... I got $50 on Cardinals vs Red Sox World Series future at 163/1... I knew Cardinals were tons better than their record would indicate, as their run differential shows, and Red Sox have best offense in league and will definitely be a contender down the stretch.
So my $50 bet would pay $8,150 if it wins. Since I placed it at end of all star break, Cardinals are like 6-2, Red Sox about the same. Already today, Cardinals vs Boston prop was down to 90/1. At what point do I attempt to hedge? Is it stupid to think about it this early, and should I just wait until playoff matches are set? I feel like I got a really really good line at 163/1 and I'd like to take advantage of this is possible, and I think within a few weeks or in a month or two, Cardinals vs Red Sox will be down to 40/1 at the highest. Since I will have that number X 4, I just feel like there's value to be had here since I luckily placed my bet at the right time, but I don't know when to take advantage of this.
Advice? Or should I just shut the hell up and wait until playoff teams are set and then hedge if both teams are still in?
