People are a product of their environment. Shitty environment, shitty person. It takes a very strong person to get out of their environment, regardless of the color. Black, white, yellow, brown, whatever, we all are catching hell. One thing I do know. Education and opportunity is the key. Give people good jobs and they will most likely be good people. I hire people of all races into some of the highest paying jobs in this country and person after person I hire are meaningful people in society. I don't have any issues with the people I hire. They work, have families and are active in their community. Very rarely are there any issues and basically zero crime, so I know first hand it's not about color.

Would you like to lay a wager on what degree's I have and my qualifications in this field?

My point is that nuclear deterrence is very similar to the guns control debate. You have a gun so I need a bigger gun. I have a bigger gun so you want a better gun. In the meantime no one wins when we both start shooting each other. When will we realize that bigger, better guns (i.e. nuclear bombs) are not the answer to protecting yourself. It will take a multilateral choice to disarm everyone before we see a decrease in gun violence. America has too many guns. Anyone that disagrees is either blind, stupid or have a very bad agenda.

You also have to take into account all the black men in jail for petty drugs use/sale. The war on drugs created a cottage industry in the jails by incarcerating thousands of blacks. You took thousands of people, made them felons, so they can't get a job over things that probably shouldn't be illegal in the first place. Len Bias and Ronald Reagan did more to destroy black families than any gang banger in Chicago.
