Is this the absolute worst round of NBA playoffs ever?

    Just an absolutely awful product.

One thing is for certain, these games aren't rigged. If they were, they might be more compelling.

Would probably help a little if they brought back best of 5 for the opening rounds

I think it might be better if they used an NFL format.

Make it the top six teams in every conference.

Give the top two teams a bye. This would prevent teams from resting starters.

Make the first round three out of five.

Something like that. I'm not sure, maybe this year is just an anomaly. It's just been really bad.

It's borderline embarrassing now and the league is taking a major hit and they don't know what to do about it

If you really want to bring back Real basketball...you may have to do something very unpopular and that is get rid of the 3 point line

this is exactly what i was saying... 6 teams, top 2 get byes.

i honestly dont think its been as bad as people are saying.. I mean what do you expect out of Spurs and Grizz? Grizz cant help the fact they lost half their starters..

Atl/Bos is 2-0 going to boston. Could be 1-1.
GS/Hou is going as expected. Hou doesnt deserve a playoff spot.
    Ind/Tor 1-1
    Dal/Okc 1-1
Det/Cle is 1-0 with a closer than expected 1st game
Mia/Cha is 1-0. Who knows what happens in game 2
Clips/Port 1-0 again who knows what happens game 2

Yea alot of the wins were fukkin blowouts, but if port/cha/bos can win the next game, its not gonna be nearly as ugly as people been saying. I mean even if port and cha have close game 2s and then go back home and win game 3, they are all even series again.. Id wait another game before declaring it the worst ever

What's your logic here? Why would this make it better?

I was thinking about adding a 4 point line. Maybe around half court.

It has been pretty bad, but maybe the injury factor is a part of it.

Memphis, Boston, Dallas all ravaged with injuries.

    Hopefully the second round improves.

I just want to see some competitive games, man. They have been sorely lacking.

NBA desperately needs to contract 4 teams and go back to making the 1st round best of 5

    New Orleans
    Orlando
    Milwaukee
    Sacramento

not a single person would notice they were gone, 4 horrific franchises in 4 equally awful cities

These teams are not playing no defense...the center is non existent in the game....7 footers sitting at the top of the key when they need to be in the paint...plus also get rid of the zone and bring back hand checking

    Wholeheartedly agree.

Way too many teams with diluted talent. The problem is, we'll probably get more teams before we get less.

My other reason is only in basketball you get a extra point because the person scoredmfrom a longer distance

If Messi score a goal from halfway on the pitch do he get 2 goals..no

If Mike trout hitna homerun out the big A do he get credited for a extra run..no

A basket should just be a basket...2 points

the NBA was absolutely determined to extend the 1st round to 7 games ever since the Nuggets beat the Sonics.

don't get me wrong, i loved that Sonics team, but that was some classic NBA right there.

I don't think this idea would ever fly.

The three point shot has really changed the way the game is played, especially in the last five years or so.

It's the reason I think this Golden State team would beat the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

sorry, you're the first that need to go. the vast majority of New Orleans is an utter shit hole, the arena is terrible, and people either can't afford or don't want tickets.

    I don't think so.

Those guys were all in their 30s. The Golden State core are in their 20s, they would be very difficult to guard, especially in this new era.

Obviously Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes would be unstoppable in this scenario.

They just have too many weapons.

Don't forget about Iggy, Livingston, and Barbosa.

This team comes at you in waves.

Anyway, we'll never know. It's good for a debate. Scottie says they would sweep them, so maybe he knows best.
