You're a sharp guy who's been around the block for forever.

With that being said, do you honestly think you can turn a profit betting 750 games in one sport?

Of course you can, I prefer more plays with smaller edges than less plays with bigger edges because the former generally has less variance. Unfortunately things have not panned out in CBB this year, but my NBA and NHL profits are offsetting the CBB loss. Plus MLB is just around the corner, and need I remind you about MLB last year, and I had over 1000 MLB plays.

There are also 162 games for everyone and over six months in a baseball season.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess. I contend it's nearly impossible to make 750 plays in one sport over a 4+ month period of time and wind up in the black.

I have had winning CBB years in the past with similar volume. And there are probably more games on the board during a CBB season than during an MLB season. There are 2,430 MLB regular season games. But there are 351 Division I CBB teams that play around 30 games each, and if you count the lined games, it is either more or very close to MLB.

Fair enough, but the reason why you typically succeed in MLB is because you're betting dogs and often betting money lines. Tough to win paying -105 to -115 in juice on sides with dogs in CBB, and also tough to compare it to baseball when you can have a distinct advantage taking + numbers on the ML.
