Looking to subscribe and post plays from a few touts. Which do you guys want?

Long story short I was just getting back into betting and because of time constraints and personal issues I just don't have time to handicap at all. Thankfully, I have had some financial success lately and finally paid off my student loans, so I have much more disposable income plus I've lurked on here for years and finally want to give back. I figured I'd finally cave and start purchasing picks. So far I'm going to get NFAC Moves, NHL Crew, and The Big Moves Consensus from thebigmoves.com.

The following handicappers/groups/whatever you want to call them are ones that I am considering purchasing. I'm hoping you guys can tell me which ones I should stay away from, etc:

    - phillygodfather, nfacmoves, buryrightnumber, bigbettiger, phillyrooster, diamondsfrankie and phillyseal. I did want to get the poker boys moves picks, but they don't come with the VIP package. I'm more than willing to skip the VIP package and get a few of their packages individually.
    - Sports Atari.
    - Oskeim.
    - JR Kennedy from Tim Donaghy's RefPicks. Before you laugh at me, he does seem to do very well.
    - Ike M from RefPicks as his NHL plays seem to be doing well.
    - Dr. Bob. I know the NFL plays are from another capper. Curious if I should get just his NCAAF picks next year or grab a package that has NBA, NCAAB, NFL, etc.
    - 500Wager.
    - Teddy Covers (Is her good/decent at anything other than the NFL?)

The one guy who I will not purchase from is Steve Budin. I read his book a few years back and this guy is a complete clown. I just can't bring myself to give him any money. Other than that, I'm open to suggestions about the guys I mentioned and whomever else I may have missed.

I'll be getting the plays from thebigmoves.com by Friday the latest and I'll make sure to post them.

Oh, and I plan on betting 500-1000 a game (I'll most likely stick to just $500 a game for my first year) and I'm willing to spend around 5k on yearly subscriptions. Only reason I'm shying away from the Philly Godfather is because those guys play way too many games per week for my liking. And you guys can count on plays for at least 6 months on whatever cappers we call decide on.

That Philly GodFather VIP package would be a nice pick. PFG and his "Animals" picks I haven't seen around here in a few days.

Don't get sports Atari. I have him and he is no good. I recommend you get nfac moves as it includes the NHL big ice moves as well. I currently am on monthly plan for big consensus.

Thanks for the heads-up. I actually thought the NHL plays were separate. NFAC and the big moves consensus seems reasonably priced, so I’ll grab them too like I had planned. Thanks.

Lol. Any suggestions on who I should follow. Still trying to help the forum out by getting some service plays now that I can actually afford it, but I’d appreciate your Twitter suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Yup. I’ll subscribe for his NBA picks for 3 months. Look out for it starting tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

I can swear I heard his name somewhere before. Seems like he only offers a daily package. I’ll get him for a few weeks, but hopefully he offers monthly subscriptions to make things easier… Maybe I missed it.

OSKEIM is the biggest thief out there. He'll spin anything to make it look like he's plus, for instance he says he's up soooo many units over plus years when his site has only been up for a few, he won't list year by year because the last two he's minus big time, add it up. He copies many other services top plays and uses stale lines that you'll never be able to get. He's a big subscriber to Big Al and Wayne Root, years back before he became a tout he posted their plays in another forum don't believe me you will never see him against these two and will post a few of their plays each week.

If you're truly serious, then either go with sportpunter.com or go to pickmonitor and research which capper you like for the given sport. Ignore cappers that are on streaks right now. You want a capper that has at least 500 recorded picks and I like to see a ~1-3% ROI for every bet you make. ROI is calculated as (profit/total amount risked).

Stay away from guys like phillygodfather and the animals. Their records are pretty horrible. Several guys track how they really do on twitter.

I hope that you educate yourself on what to realistically expect from sports betting, before you invest your bankroll in handicappers. You're looking for something around a ~55% win rate, with a ~1-3% ROI on every bet.

You've got your work cut out for you to find them, but they do exist. Pickmonitor has a few guys that fit the criteria, in various sports. You want to be diversified. I'm a fan of sportpunter, but again, you need to know what to expect.

Spend a few hours over at daily25.com. Go back a few years and read his posts from beginning to now. He started with a $50,000 bankroll several years ago and his inital goal was to earn $25 a day from sports betting. He has since turned that roll into half a million, and he primarily subscribes to sportpunter. His weekly posts tell you exactly what to expect from sports betting. The past 2 weeks, he's lost around $50k, but for several weeks before that, he was banking around $30k a week. Variance is a bitch

MMA capper named John. Since 2011, 6.28% ROI over 1,722 picks. 2.58 z-score. 52.53% win percentage, 55.78% effective win percentage. Beats the closing time 55.86% of the time.

With that kind of a record, you'd be crazy not to buy his plays. SBR is mainly full of people that recreationally gamble. For those of us that do this for a reliable income, the handicappers are out there. They're harder to find, but they are out there. It's wrong to blindly say that paying for a handicapper is -ev. John's plays are just one example.

Almost every single tout is a long term loser and the sites that allegedly monitor their picks are just as crooked as the touts; if you want to make a living from it, know what you're doing and make your own picks.

I do not know about basket ball but in football Mark Lawrence is good. He gives you a fair value for what you pay. No you do not win every day but at the end of the season I can say that I am up some.

Has any one used him in Basketball?

His record indicates that he's a long-term winner. His ROI is spot on. Why should I invest so much of my time in doing something that somebody else has already done, and is quite good at? Why wouldn't I just buy his knowledge instead? It's about outsourcing. Time is valuable, it's our most valuable asset.

Why would your boss hire you to do your job, when he should be capable of doing it himself? Why do it himself when he can hire you to do it for him? What if you can do a better job than he can? Isn't it a smart business decision to hire you?
