Josh Doctson expected to play Saturday

Breathe easy, TCU fans. It appears wide receiver Josh Doctson is not out for the season. After conducting an interview with Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson on Thursday afternoon, Sirius XM host Chris Childers sent out a tweet that said, "Gary Patterson just said star WR Josh Doctson is out for the rest of the season."
The news of Doctson's supposed status spread quickly, but Childers soon deleted his tweet and said he and others at Sirius may have misunderstood Patterson.
Soon after, ESPN's Jake Trotter and Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman reached out to Patterson, who confirmed the miscommunication.
Patterson later confirmed on his own Twitter account that Doctson will return to action on Saturday.
Doctson injured his wrist after making a catch late in the first half in TCU’s loss to Oklahoma State when an OSU defender fell onto his wrist as he was being tackled, causing it to bend awkwardly. Doctson received x-rays during halftime and did not return to the game.
According to the Star-Telegram, Doctson practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday. Patterson said earlier in the week that Doctson was scheduled to see a specialist on Tuesday to assess the injury.
