I'd just buy an official Katana Samurai sword sharpened to a razors edge, hang it on the wall near my bed, learn how to use it with out cutting off my own leg.. This would still give you a major edge against the bad guys in case of an home invasion.. If I remember correctly, the law is defined that they can bring guns to campus, but they must be kept in the car, and not-loaded. So it's not really a concealed gun law where students can walk around on campus with guns in their 'pocket'.

same way in Ohio, guns are banned on campus unless locked in a motor vehicle or in the process of being locked in one. So in other words completely negates any chance to defend yourself and fellow countrymen.

Umpqua Community College is a posted Gun Free Zone but allows concealed carry under Oregon law. With the college security page stating the following:“Possession, use, or threatened use of firearms (including but not limited to BB guns, air guns, water pistols, and paint guns) ammunition, explosives, dangerous chemicals, or any other objects as weapons on college property, except as expressly authorized by law or college regulations, is prohibited.
Possession of knives with a blade longer than 4” is prohibited.
Brandishing weapons is prohibited.
Misuse of personal defensive weapons – e.g., pepper spray, etc. is prohibited. The owner is responsible and accountable for any misuse of these devices.”
