You mean Magic was Oscar 2.0...and LBJ is Oscar 3.0, and Kobe is MJ 0.5.

Nobody ever puts centers on this which is ridiculous but following the no center rule how LBJ isn't already on it is beyond me. The list of players with 4 MVPs is 5 people. 3 of which are centers, proving both points.

Even with centers the list should be Kareem, Russell, Magic and Bird has been replaced by LBJ easily.

I haven't looked at this in a while and stopped at 34 for MJ and Kobe.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/...01&p4=&p5=&p6=

Kobe leads in nothing. For people saying LBJ isn't as good as a jump shooter he has the best EFG% and the best 3p%.

Don't get too hung up in the numbers. I just mean LBJ, Magic and Oscar all share lot more with their game than what LBJ and MJ do.

MJ is #1 clearly. He was playing against legends and was dominant.

Kobe is better than LeBron. Kobe won 3 in a row with a star player and cast members. And won 2 in a row in a tough conference with zero stars for teammates just role players.

LeBron has had cakewalk to the finals each year. He also has never had to play a tough season out west. He hasn't given us 1 memorable moment yet. Name it if you disagree? Where is Lebrons crossover game winning shot to win a championship? Where is his Karl Malone steal to gain possession to win a championship? Where is his slam dunk FT championship poster? Where is his change hands layup? Just nothing. Lebron is the best player today in the NBA in an era that proves the NBA has little talented stars left. Kobe stays healthy he can do some damage. But will he stay healthy?

MJ and Kobe were clutch. LeBron is not. He will one day be in the top 5 or 6.

    1. MJ
    2. Russell

Also compare stats is hard now cause Lebron's avg will go down in a few seasons as he will have different role. Just like MJ's did when he played for the wizards

No Wilt? May have been the best athlete of all. Track star at Kansas.

Didn't see Wilt, Big-O, Russell in their prime so I'm throwing them out.

LeBron better than Kobe. Kobe shooting % is too low.

I would respectfully ask that you please refrain from including Kobe's name in any sentence that includes Lebron and Jordan..the two have virtually nothing to do with the other...let the cookie monster explain...

Most likely 90% of you never watched Bill Russell play. Russel was an offensive liability on his teams..... He was a great player. Great. Putting him in the discussion for best player ever is pure stupidity and shows me you either never watched Russell play or don't understand basketball. Anyone that is not a dominate offensive player cannot be considered the best ever. You have to do it on both ends. Bryant is 1st team all NBA on both sides of the floor most of his career. Same with Jordan and Lebron.

Do you guys even understand why stats were so inflated in the 60s and 70s? Please, go watch the era of basketball in depth before making dumb statements.

LeBron's stats are also inflated from playing point forward. He gets the assists of a point guard and then the defensive rebounds of a forward.

    Lebron is Jordan 2.0

Jordan was the original, the guy that could drop 50, hit a game winner and be a lockdown defender

Lebron does those things as well + rebound and he can do it all positions

Jordan more efficient, Lebron more dominant
