This post brings up a fascinating message board issue:

In-jokes.

What do we do about them? Where do you stand?

In this particular case, I recognized the joke, recalling after a moment that this exact same wording (with a few adjustments) appeared TWICE before as people's faux "goodbye" posts.

But 90% of the posters in here had no idea... Thus, is the joke funny, or just annoying??

It's like the "If a tree falls in the woods and no one hears" question. Or maybe it's not, I don't know, it's late, I'm tired. But anyway...

In my opinion, there are way too many in-jokes and too much exclusivity in this forum -- it's as if half the people are "virtually" elbowing each other and giggling, while the other half are like, What is going on here?

Too schoolyardy.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. Nothin' personal, Poker, my boy.

PokerDummy I hear you loud and clear. Bread has tried to drive me off the board also but he is fooling with the wrong guy and i go right back at him. Posting here is intense and it could get to you. Pokerman take a break and come back strong. Losing to Bread in a contest is very embarrassing because he is the worst fukkin capper that ever lived. I see how you could not accept it. Poker your a solid poster and hope you come back by the weekend, just ignore Bread I will deal with him.

If you got a guy like Bread on your back he can literally drive you to drink if your not strong. I feel bad for some of the young guns here that cannot take his pressure and they snap like PokerDummy did last night. I can assure you this will be addressed with Walker.

I know we've seen a lot of these lately...but i am here to say i am making my very last post on the board. I don't know what the hell happened today but I managed to let Bread beat me in the SBR Bracket contest and lose 59 points in the sportsbook in less than 2 clicks of my mouse at the SBR Hotel and Casino.
I don't know what's worse...losing all of those points to a forum I have dedicated my life to over the last year or losing a bracket contest to Bread. All I know is that I have been beaten and bloodied beyond belief and had to be bailed out by my family for the last time. its happened before over the years and now its happened again and one result is i need to now get a 2nd job. How the hell i still have a family if one of the great mysteries, i've put them through hell with my gambling and today it stops, or i die, one of the two.
Guys, i'm not telling ANYONE what to do, what i am saying is be smart and careful, we are all a few bad weeks away from cashing in our points for the last time and losing to BREAD in a contest. I certainly didn't see it coming, just a day ago I was flying high up a unit on Bread and working my points up. Being able to buy that Dell Net book was a huge motivator. But thats long gone and then some.
If anyway wants to rip me, so be it, i hold no ill will, even towards an obvious novice as Venditto.

So to JJ Gold, Richie, Nicky Santoro, and all the rest of you i can't remember right now. Take care, its been fun, but all good things must come to an end.
