#213These bowl games opt-outs are insane. Sometimes, they're telling:
*NoTex QB Chandler Morris - might not be that good. Backup doing well.
*MICH CB Will Johnson - his stock had to take a hit after he quit on team. Michigan's two best defensive efforts came after he sat out. Maybe the backup DEF backs are better than Will.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#215Information overload is what it is, take it from a career IT geek, there is such a thing as too much data.
You can't analyze these types of games; how can you properly analyze a game when most of the relevant data has opted out.Comment -

#216Don’t count me out yet boys! Only 3 points lost so if MINN and BUFF win I’ll be at 27. Looks like if TX ST covers CHIEFS83 get the big $$Comment -

If I was DeBoer, I'd be a little worried. He took four losses this year. And he just lost to a shell of a Michigan roster.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

Add that to the list of reasons why sports in general can't hold a candle to what they were 20-30 years ago. Some of these sports are not even the same game anymore.Comment -

Nasher, I think there are the " little things" that are not little at all as you know, but very team embedded, or not, depending on the coach and school, and his/their association with the players as individuals . Data cannot show that.
I stopped playing serious team sports when I was 17 or 18 but you know what I mean. There were coaches and their were Coaches !
Same with schools. Riley Leonard and Notre Dame is a perfect example. Unique, the relationship and bond there.
No way to handicap that unless you are there to not only see it but feel it.Comment -

Then you have the 'game within the game'.
MLB managers will study opposing managers tendencies in high leverage situations and adjust accordingly, especially in the post season.
Earl Weaver for instance would play for the three-run power blast, whereas Ned Yost preferred to bleed you to death with six runs on eight hits.Comment -

#223Used to love college bowl season but couldn't careless about the non playoff ones nowadays since most of the top players can't bother to suit up.
