    ESPN Announcer John Clayton has died
    I really liked that guy. He still had one of the best commercials in sports history. RIP

                                  They said he died from a physical illness? What is that? Almost sounds like something like Lupus or MS? But then that wouldn't be sudden.

                                          I would have guessed he was late 70s. Was only 67. Must have had some illness over the years to look that old.

                                          He used to be on the TV every second a few years ago. I don't watch much ESPN unless it's game, but I haven't seen him on a report in years. They used to always use him as a source. Didn't even see that last couple of years.

                                                      Always appreciated his input, solid reporting. I would have thought he was 75/76. May be an underlying condition that has existed for some time, he aged rapidly as far as appearance.

                                                          Thought so. But I don't think anyone mentioned that in the obituary. They wrote it like he was still employed there.

                                                            He was just one of those guys who always looked old. Hell I remember watching him in the mid-90s on that show with Sean Salisbury and I would have sworn he was in his 60s then.

                                                            He was a great reporter and a true character. RIP
