Dodgers are scary but 1 game anything can happen. I like being on the road too.

Really in post season you just take the +$$$ and martingale your bets

It always pays off eventually and there's no juice.

              So easy

I’m leaning that way as well but it might just be I can’t STAND that Dodgers roster. Bellinger=fagg J. Turner=queer/lawn gnome Muncy=Orc AJ Pollock=Queer Jansen=Queer Dave Roberts=Affirmative Action.

I just made a bet in the point book on St. Louis with possible real $ to follow.

The Dodgers are the best team in baseball and they are at home, but they are 2:1 favorites over a strong team that's sending their #1 starter to the mound on 8 days rest. LA didn't win 2/3 of their regular season games, usually playing against worse competition and not facing the other team's (fully rested) ace. This line doesn't make sense to me, so I'll take my chances with the Cardinals.

Wainwright is old. 3-5 in the postseason all time. Books are begging you to take the Cardinals.

Dodgers will win in a boat race. No lead is safe against their lineup
And at Dodger stadium? Best home field advantage in all of Mlb

I like the Sawx on Tuesday. line looks funny, and that has to be due to Cole’s struggles lately. He is very hitable and this will have a far different result than his recent start at Fenway

The Sox / NYY line is sharp

Unlike a 17 game NFL regular season which is a very small sample size, a 162 game MLB regular season is not.

                                            NYY were 92-70
                                            BOS were 92-70

Both teams played each other 19 times.
                                            Boston was 10 - 9 against NYY.
In those 19 games BOS scored 75 runs, NYY scored 74 runs.

BOS played NYY at home in Fenway 10 times.
In those ten games BOS was 10-6 at home.

Do you see a trend here?
                                            I don't.
                                            A clear cut edge?
                                            I don't.

Betting line inched up four cents to -116.
-116 is still a very sharp line, there is no clear cut favorite in tomorrows game that has a clear cut edge.

Now, this is what I need to do.
Make sure my two dogs are fine, you know check the water bowls for fresh water, check the dog dishes, as Ally and Deb keep late hours and still are asleep

Let the two pups know Daddy is alive and kicking because Daddy has been buried in sports and sports writing from sun up to sun down the past three days.

Then I gotta poop and feed myself.
Get a podcast out with my partner, update my blog...

I'll be back to write up the rest of this NYY/BOS game later.
And if any of you think Cole is the superior pitcher in this Cole/Eovaldi matchup you may be interested in what I have to say later.
                                            Or not.

Remember, analytics is the collection of ALL data.
Once ALL data is collected then one can come to an informed conclusion as to what the likely outcome of an game might be.

                                            I'll be back.
I also am curious as to see what some of our more astute baseball guys have to say, like LT Profits, KVB, and about eight others who I apologize to for not calling out their names right now.

Cora vs boone. big edge to Sawx in my view. boone had a terrible closing of September "managing wise". If they are able to play tomorrow, rain looks to be a forecasted guarantee, then he will stick with cole too long. will mismanage his pen arms, and the Sawx will win.
I do not see tomorrow night's single elimination, being anything close to their final series at Fenway where the Bombers swept them. boone does not manage well when the stress is on

What did Boone do wrong in the last part of September?

They swept Boston. Won 2/3 vs tor. Both on the road. That rays team is too good but they got the win. The Red Sox stink. They had an easy run in and still lost 2/3 to Baltimore and were struggling vs Washington AAA team on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday vs the rays followed suit with how he stuck with Monty until he gave up a Td. Everyone could see he didn’t have his command.
well everyone except for Boone that is.
Game was over and Bombers are lucky Judge saved them yesterday. Win or lose, I think Boone is getting fired and his clubhouse knows it

The other issue is the dead bats. “Bp Wacha” looked like Cy Young yesterday and he won’t sniff the mound in postseason October unless dire straits

I agree with stake. Boone is a clown. Only has that job cuz of who his grandpa and his pops were. He’s just a spoiled rich kid from San Diego. Cora has grit. Was forced to step away from the game for a year, probably helped him clear his head. Plus like I said in my thread, yanks live and die by the home run and it’s gonna be cold af at Fenway tomorrow.

A lot of people are giving the Cards a chance. The line got bet down over night. It started at +200, was in the mid-high +190s late night, and now it's in the +180s. The sharps who jump on the openers have jumped.

FWIW, on 5/31 the two teams met in Dodgers stadium with a similar pitching advantage for the LAD (Flaherty vs. Bauer) and the juiceless line was right around 180.
