there are differences of opinions on this topic, a lot of teams mix going for 2-pt like it's a math equation

the problem is that his mindset was all wrong. he was playing not to lose in a game that was essentially already lost. he needed to be playing every hand (i.e. every offensive possession) very aggressively to try and earn his way back. that means playing all 4 downs if necessary on every drive to gain a 1st down almost regardless of field position.. (and most certainly on 4th & short from around the 45 when you're still down 12!)
whenever you're in a really bad spot in any kind of game you're playing, the best strategy at that point is to do everything you can to deflect all the pressure that's on you towards your opponent. failing to understand this concept should mean termination.

Hard not to agree with you. I agree he should have been more aggressive. But, I'm sure he didn't expect his franchise QB to chuck 3 INTs and his center to snap the ball 20 feet behind on the 1st play of the game.

I wish my dad was alive to see today's game. Life long Browns fan, we had season tickets from the 60's till the late 80's when we moved to Florida. My cousins haven't missed a game in decades. This win is so huge for lifelong, diehard Browns fans. It's been a long, long time but it's been worth the wait.

Now we play with house money next Sunday. The Chiefs have not looked like a juggernaut the last few weeks, just like the Steelers. They've still been winning but not really winning decisively.

I have to agree. His coaching decisions were suspect but I never really believed in this team. They were severely flawed. I really think the front office sandbagged Tomlin with not enough playmakers. They have been notoriously cheap but then paid Big Ben huge money (I think he's making $40 mill this year)
