The DNC puts together the schedule -- I highly doubt Biden would have sent them word on who his pick is going to be due to leaks

Also, keep in mind the convention is virtual and Biden will be accepting the nomination in Delaware. Considering the importance of the VP, I would not be surprised if he wants to make an in-person appearance with his VP, and unless she is at his side when he makes the initial announcement that is expected to come at any moment, then it would be logical IMO for that person to appear with him on Thursday -- who knows how many times he will have a chance to be seen with his partner before the election....which means Kamela and KLB are still in the running if he decides he wants to accept alongside his VP pick
