I think if Biden "gets" to choose, it's Rice; if they choose for him, it's Harris.

She wouldn't undermine him. They've worked together and they would be "simpatico". I think she'll be acceptable enough to progressives, while also being difficult for the other side to paint as a left-wing liberal. But let's not forget why Barack picked Biden in 2008. The biggest knock on Obama was his lack of foreign policy chops, and he picked Biden to shore up that perceived weakness. I don't disagree with you on Rice, just saying why I feel like he could pass her up. Do we realy know how well they got along?

As far as the Rice/Obama connection, there was a report a few months back that Obama was actually disappointed when Biden promised to pick a woman, because Obama wanted him to give Andrew Yang consideration.

And I would not undervalue the dislike that "mainstream" conservatives have for Susan Rice. Take someone like S.E Cupp, who just the other day said that she could support Harris, but she would NEVER go with Rice.

from her campaign account. So unfollowing him wouldn't be possible. She does follow him from her official Senate account however.
