Germany was not a country anymore. Did you see what happened when Hitler took over? They were gangbusters right away. They were a country again.

At the very least, you will get unemployment for a long time. This is going to change a lot in America. That's for sure.

It had everything to do with Hitler. They were being starved by the rest of the world and he threw off the burdens the rest of the world was putting on them. He asserted their power and it was recognized by the rest of the world. In the end, they were destroyed again because he went too far.

It's very simple. A country is either a country or it isn't. Japan is a country. They say it has way too much debt and is going to go broke. Japan doesn't give a shit. They are a country. They can do what they want.

Germany was not a country. They became a country again. They are a lesson in revolution. When you push a group of people too far, they will fight back. The Germans fought back. They just refused the pay the debts that were put on them and their currency became legit in spite of it. It became legit because they were not willing to roll in the tanks. An independent country can do whatever it wants. There are no limitations.

Nobody cares about the deficit. Everybody knows it is total BS. If Trump can keep the stock market up, he will probably get re-elected. If not, he will probably lose. Also in your case, I think they are planning on giving small businesses loans to make payroll and the loans my be forgiven if it goes for that purpose. So your company might make it through that way. Not sure the Rs are on board with that though. I think the Dems are pushing for that.

its not about making payroll for us

we make million dollar machines with small margin ( american ) . no one in their right mind will buy one in 2021. we are prolly toast next year. hope im wrong but jus bein logical

have there been any stipulations or payback plans for the money they're just giving to americans? i have to imagine there is something baked in to recoup that come next tax season...or are we all collectively just footing the bill for the bottom 1/3 and the top 1%?

and also totally on board for full transparency as to where corp money is going, how they'll pay it back, and a LONG list of what they cannot spend the money on...should be like 75% reserve for workers. how can outrageous or even mid level executive increases/bonus or even basic pay be immune to the economy tanking

it makes no sense, not sure how Rs are getting away with this stuff and their base isn't outraged

No, the government has a printing press. It produces all the money. They do not owe anything to the rich because the rich are broke. All there is is the government now. Capitalism has failed again and has to be rebooted.

So right now, they are trying to maintain the present economic status. So almost all the money goes to the rich. This allows the rich to gain more power. Everybody else just gets $1,000.

The problem comes when more is needed. That is when people begin to have a say and the skillet gets hot and the politicians start dancing. Trump will give everybody a million dollars to get re-elected. He could wind up best friends with Bernie before this is over.

Nobody knows what the future is. The question is can Team Trump reboot society? The market is going to go up and down dramatically. It will probably trend lower for a while. But there will be some big buying days and people will think it is over only to see it go back down. That is the trouble with trying to pick a bottom. It can go way lower than you ever expect. Wall Street will just trade these swings.

If you think, they should just let thngs run its course, you have to look at things from the elites point of view. They are going to take a hit here but they know it will probably only be temporary. They own the govt. They can get their bailouts and they can restore their own wealth.

If they just let the thing run it course, they don't know what the downside is. They could be thrown completely out of power.

This is the safest bet.

Social distancing you can do within reason and keep businesses open. Can do business without getting in everyone's face and space.. Bars and restaurants people spacing too. Need to get creative.. Sending everyone home and shutting down the Economy for months I never thought was the right answer to this Corona Virus..

People working can be ordered to wear masks and gloves.. Etc..
