Yep, it's so urgent that they impeach him and get him out of office that she may now indefinitely withhold the articles from the Senate. She showed her hand this is purely political when she didn't immediately transmit the articles to the Senate after the vote and now wants to play games. What would constitute a "fair" trial?
She doesn't dictate what the Senate does after the house votes to impeach. If she has that much of a problem with how the Senate is run, then become a senator instead of a congresswoman. She did her job it's now time to forward the articles to the Senate if she feels this is an urgent national security matter and he needs to be out ASAP. If she was worried about a "fair" trial, she should've arranged that before commencing the impeachment process or not done it at all if it was going to be a big waste of time (and money) anyway since she knew who the jury was in advance. Prosecutors decline to charge people all the time if they don't feel like they'll win at trial.Comment -

i think there are 2 significant factors folks should consider...
1. you know there were a bunch of folks that did not vote in 2016 because they thought Hillary had it in the bag. they wont make that same mistake in 2020.
2. Trump isnt building on to his base...other than a handful of racists who were too young to vote in 2016. he has lost a bunch of those voters that were on the fence in 2016.
perhaps not as significant, but noteworthy...voters being more aware of BS ads that the republicans flood social media with.
bottom line...i dont think Trump gets reelected.
one thing for sure....he is gonna lose the popular vote by a much wider margin than he did in 2016.Comment -

While I don’t share your enthusiasm about trump I do agree with your point about he is everyone’s president. The way Dems acted since beginning and rejected this fact has made me dislike them more than ever. It doesn’t matter if the result was what you wanted or not, as a American you supposed to fall in line and support whomever is elected and hope for the best.

It’s a bit hard for Dems to let his normal behavior go unchecked when he openly welcomes small forms of corruption. Dude was like this before the election. I am not sure (and I say this as an independent that doesn’t love any candidate in the field) there is many redeeming qualities about him other than he didn’t tank a successful economy. I’d be fine with trump if he would just shut the fukk up but he can’t go 1 day without insulting a dead person, female, foreign ally.
