this contest is not good. I went 5-1 few weeks ago i switched a game that won for a+ line which lost. Went 5-1 and finished 1 place out of getting anything. I suck at football so i did enjoy the perks of when i got lucky and competed a week. You could have h-man or drew do it. But this is no way to treat loyal subjects!

Could not agree with you more and I said this from week 1. I don't even bother playing it anymore. The strategy SBR used to spin this was priceless as well. When people started complaining they sent a memo to all the mods to come into the chat and basically blow smoke up everyone's ass on how great it was. Mods literally took turns coming in. There is no polishing this turd no matter how hard you try.

Don't get me wrong....There are many great reasons to be a pro on SBR but this ain't close to being one of them.

I know that SBR can't do this, but it they just made it Pro's only, then you'd get rid of a lot of ghost accounts. Some will be readily willing to pay $100 to get multiple accounts but most would not so it would help in that aspect.

But, since the goal of the contest is to generate new members, how can you only limit it to Pros?

Some said something about providing proof of identity (e.g. ID photo). It might help but not sure that would actually solve the problem either.

Sure they can, and I posted how in the week 2 thread where everyone was bitching (rightfully) about all the "newbies" i.e. ghosts.

You have about 150 Pros posting at SBR between April and August and then you open the Pick 6 contest and you have 2500 entries!! What do you think happened? You have multiple scammers creating accounts and taking shots. These people even if they hit one week for the $100 prize is $100 they didn't sweat since they have no vested interest at SBR. So you pay them, they never turn Pro and then they leave in January and come back in August.

Now out of those loyal 150 Pros you had this year posting in the slow season you get 100 of them that are pissed off because they didn't get anything in Pick 6 compared to previous years in BTP and they don't renew. So this is a $10,000 loss for SBR from non-renewals.

Last year at this time I was 2nd in the Beat the Prick contest. Finished in the top 30 to win over $ 500. This year I am dead last (2,411th place out of 2,411 entries) in the Pick 6 contest.
