I don't believe in anything surely not God or Jesus. I would believe in a lot of other things in life those would never be on my list.

Thats how it is here. Some guys just dont like to be talked about. The thread by Mathy was excellent. Yes he does make a lot of useless threads but what i notice is the guys that criticize thread starters usually dont start any good threads.

Yes I believe in God and Jesus. I am a Christian. I have been my whole life and after taking a lot of science classes believe in them even more so. Everything is too complex for there not to be a God behind the wheel. The human body, life, the ability to think, energy, the stars, black holes, the universe.....all these things are just off the map in complexity. We as humans will never understand any significant amount of "science". We will understand as much as what God knows is best for us.

Its too deep for even the most brilliant of scientists. God does amazing things.

And R11, right now its about 75% of the population in the US that are Christian, and growing with the Mexicans coming in.

My "Favorite Canadians" thread is legendary. That's what got Mathcom started on me because he didn't make my list.

I understand his disappointment, but we can't all be winners in life. And he certainly, is not a winner.

Given the suffering and pain that life on this planet has endured since humans appeared on the scene, and the fact that the supposed "all powerful" God allows it to occur, I can come to only one of the following conclusions:
1. God is totally apathetic.

2. God is insane.

3. God is evil.

4. God is so far different from us that it isn't that he is apathetic, we just don't even come up on his radar screen at all.

5. God is the ultimate practical jokester. John Milton said it far better than I can: "Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? 6. God is powerless.

If "God" is all knowing and all powerful and allows the suffering that is tormenting life on our planet to go on then it means he is one of the above.

And, if God is NOT all knowing and all powerful and is powerless to do anything about anything, then "God" is irrelevant.
