And R11, right now its about 75% of the population in the US that are Christian, and growing with the Mexicans coming in.
I can accept the argument for why you believe in god, not agree with it but it is at least theoretically plausible.

But your post makes no reasoning behind being a Christian. As an agnostic I can understand why someone would believe there is a man behind the curtain, but I never understand why people live their lives based on a book of stories.

Some people say they don't believe in God but He scares them.

But I do believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is Keyzer Soze.

                Unreal.

Did not mean to start this thread to actually talk about God.

Might as well talk about the boogeyman or jjgold's natural hair

the complexity argument is not a good one for god. That is, god could have made everything out of magic jello. The fact that things have'to be so complex would favor the idea of randomness.

I'm with ya.. I believe in God because I believe in energy. And I think there is a higher source of energy and that would be God. Maybe it's not in the traditional sense, I'm not sure, but either way, energy is undeniable and in my mind, there had to be someone/something that created energy in the first place

God can only do so much. He can't fix badly engineered or piloted planes. But since God doesn't exist it is not his fault.

Haha, you're an idiot. The guy's obvious point is why would "God" choose to let your friend live but not the friend of someone else who died. But it really is his fault for trying to bring logic into a debate with a religious person.

dont know if there is one. dont believe in Jesus as his son. jesus was a radical who got killed for going against the establishment (they did that kind of shiit back in the day) If jesus was alive in the 60's he'd be a hippie.
