I wrote in my last column that bitcoin is really a bitcon. I’ve been telling you this since the price of this “investment” collapsed from around $20,000 to $4,000 last year.

Mario Draghi, head of the European Central Bank, echoed a similar view last week but didn’t do it quite as colorfully.

Last Thursday night bitcoin crashed by about $1,000, to around $7,000.

Bitcoin will soon be worth zero. But until then criminals will still be able to use it and other digital currency to move money around the world without being caught.

Take that article w/ a grain of salt. Critical articles can be viewed like a poster's selection on a game.

We can choose to Follow, Fade, or Ignore. The onus is on US. We do what we want w/ said information.

Buffett has made similar comments re: Bitcoin. There's one truth about negative opinions like that. It comes from an older generation. And it's normally based on ignorance. If we take away anything from it, it's that we can say they're likely wrong.

Sam, theory question for u. We know the BtC supply is fixed.

What about the Demand side? 24+ months ago, I thought there was room to grow b/c Not too many people knew about BtC. Now, I hear a lot of people becoming aware of BtC.

I don't want to put a % on it, but surely MORE people know about it know. Hi-school/college kids know about it, they want a piece of it. I have even talked to retirees who know of Bitcoin.

Does that mean we're near a saturation point? Or does it mean that more Demand is coming? As someone mentioned previously, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).
