I heard a rumor that he contacted the Penguins right as free agency started, and wanted to sign here. Ray Shero said the Penguins couldn't do so because of cap issues. Apparently Beauch and Fleury are good friends.

Either way, I hope he stays with the Ducks or goes to a team that has a chance. Montreal is a ruined organization. I wouldn't wise it on anyone to play there now.

It just doesn't make sense, as the Penguins are set at bottom six forward. Hopefully they can unload a guy like Dupuis.

No offense dave but either way your squad looks weak....can't believe cammalerri and O'sullivan got dished away in the past year..

Oh well still a lot of good ufa's out there: Gionta, Larose, sullivan, antropov..etc.....

Steve Sullivan would be a solid addition anywhere. Probably not gonna cost much, good locker room presence, and can carry the puck real well.

To the untrained eye it does... but Brown, Kopitar, Frolov, and Williams all have 30-goal potential and Simmonds/Handzus is an EXCELLENT 3rd line.

Coupled with a very strong defense and what looks to be a very strong young goaltender in Quick, I'm not saying anyone will mistake the Kings for a cup contender, but they will at least be competitive.

Camm wanted a huge raise and was going to leave for nothing at the end of the season so Lombardi moved him to get the pick he wanted higher in the draft... better than letting him walk for nothing, which he definitely was going to.

O'Sullivan I like a lot, but he never really solidified himself on the top 2 lines, and Justin Williams when healthy is a bonafide 30-goal scorer with a cup ring. I think that will prove to be a good trade for the Kings.

I don't think Kopitar is working out in LA....If i was kings GM I'd go big right now and go for a power forward combo, like gaborik/gionta or havlat/sullivan

Really? Who don't you like? Solid 11th in the league in GAA last year (despite having the abysmal Jason Labarbera in net the first 10 games), 7th best penalty kill in the league...

Drew Doughty and Jack Johnson are both young and immensely talented, Kyle Quincey had a great season last year and looks like a sound defenseman as well, O'Donnell is a reliable veteran that plays very well with Doughty and Matt Greene is a tough-as-nails reliable stay at home defenseman.

With Hickey, Teubert, Voinov, Drewiskie in the pipeline...

I think the Kings' D is easily their strongest point, hard to believe from years past... especially if they add a solid 3/4 type FA.

Montreal has officially lost it. Camalleri making more than Jeff Carter. Bob Gainey was a good player.
