Same as now. Whatever the regulations make unattractive for players, they will try to compete on. Plus the big ones have been courting international customers for a long time already.

But why is it like One versus the Other anyway? As gamblers you want all the options/competition you can get. Just imagine how state monopolies will act with zero competition, if that ends up happening.

This right here, this is why offshore is dead. When these guys all realize they don't have to deal with dickhead Costa Ricans, the game is over.

I’m already out walking in a beautiful park and rarely ever touch casinos or sports books

Funny, cause you'd have been sucking in this guy's farts a month ago and pointing him to whichever book offered SBR the biggest % of losses. Now that you're not getting any of it, you talk smack. Predictable, but still sad.

I guess it's like, if all you have is one really terrible option with terrible scummy customer service who have an IQ of 85 and just nickel and dime you to death with bait and switch tactics, lie about bonuses, change terms and conditions, add in new payout fees out of thin air, slow pay the player, and there's no absolutely no recourse when the book scams you, then if you have a second option, where you talk to someone who comprehends basic English, doesn't try to steal and scam you at every turn, then I think that first option is probably going to lose a good chunk of business.

But we'll see. Hopefully you SBR guys have already made enough to retire off of, and it won't matter if offshore is dead in 18 months.

Pricing will always be an issue but it won't matter for some of the population. They see cash, they forget the math, if they ever knew it.

I agree with Gold, Matrix sounds like a tout or someone who just plain has never been there before, in a book, or winning.

If I'm wrong matrix, then congrats on winning some bets, buy all the things you listed as so good and all things listed as offshore negatives in this thread are both severely overrated.

You can play offshore without any of the problems listed, and you can do it with many outs.

But some people will chase big number bonuses, take on risk, and forget the math, if they ever knew it.

The US shops aren't trying to gain international customers and love the bettor that asks for smoking, when given a choice of anything to make it better.

Those customers didn't ask for better numbers, because they either forgot them math when the neon light struck or never knew it to begin with.

When it comes to these books there are two types of sports bettors, those who know how to gamble and those who don't.

Of course, those books cater to and appear awesome to those who don't know how to gamble. It's the only way they would have it.

That's why I figured Paddy or Will Hill would take over, to keep prices competitive. Maybe MGM will spinoff a discount book for these purposes, like JP Morgan did Schwab or even Coors did Keystone.

Shit, Pinny could do it as well if they wanted and get some of the lucrative US base.

Lines at Ocean Resort were not nearly as “off” as Meadowlands appear to be. Seems to be a major step backwards. Agree though that convenience / a smoking area & some free drink tickets will sell most.

Won't they just run MGM lines or are they not leaving Jersey hung out to dry? Try running Vegas lines with the new York locals.

Maybe the MGM model will need to shade lines based on territory, it makes sense.

Harrah's and Harvey's in Lake Tahoe often get hung out to dry when the SF Giants or the Warriors are rolling. During the playoffs and finals they get such heavy action up there.

But only Vegas adjusts the lines, the sportsbook operators and managers in Tahoe have their hands tied.

How will MGM treat a whole different state when the industry as a whole has been moving towards the more conglomerate type set up with one central command?

We need someone in each book calling in the numbers, or just someone in Borgata as line services have the rest.

In the end, it's probably just the same line and number with taxes added in for extra security, with little shade towards the local market. What shade there is may probably just be there for tax purposes.

This is the difference between Betfair or PaddyPower, or some established sportsbook running the show versus a greedy fantasy sports operator and a disgruntled racetrack owner. This will stain the FanDuel name and not even the most degenerate will drink the sand from this glass.

Idiots. At least Monmouth got it right for the most part.

Just speculating, but is it because of local bias because they may have more Philly bets than say Vegas because of where they are and are covering their ass?

This will always be an issue, it always has been. This time though, they aren't bookies laying it off in Vegas.

They are Vegas. They don't protect the guys in the North Nevada from local pressure but I'm not sure how they are going to handle the east coast.

Maybe they aren't either. Time for a discount spinoff or a Will Hill to open shop, or time to start acting like one.

If I can get a runner with a couple of calls, I couldn't imagine what how others could arb off, at the very least.

For a small time, and I'm sure very small, we just might have a little gold rush with off numbers.

You think Jersey is ready for the line services JJGold? It could spoil the fun.

Are we dealing with Vegas limits here?

NJ has too many fees so the operators have to fuk the player or not do well

Fan Duel is not a bookmaker either, what was NJ Meadowlands thinking here picking them???

                                                Massive mistake

Twitter already saying offshore way better

This wasn’t the case when I’ve been to AC. Yes it was a little inflated from offshore but in this case I think Philly only opened at -185 and was actually down to -167 at game time
