players typically do the same thing in those sports at least offensively except pitchers, football too many positions that do different things. why cant the goat be a beast O-lineman or defensive end, just saying. qb, only guy on team that does the specific thing that he does, thats kinda discriminatory so just think by position makes more sense.

It can be debatable that we might have never held Tom Brady or Joe Montana in the esteem we do now without them having Bill Belichick and Bill Walsh respectively. Manning was consistent, no matter who the coach, or the talent around him was. Manning's importance showed in the era between him and Andrew Luck. The Colts had no leadership on the field, or true direction.

The fact that Peyton was able to come back from a serious injury, and become the only starting quarterback to win a Super Bowl with two different teams shows his perseverance and true competitiveness. How many times did you NOT see him looking at overhead photos of formations on the sideline while the defense was on the field? The man was always locked in. He was a better coach on the field than the head coach on the sidelines.
