Nobody is going to walk into a golf shop and ask, "How did Brooks Koepka shoot today?" Just like they aren't going to ask what did Webb Simpson shoot? Simpson won the Players (5th major) and has won the U.S. Open. Clean cut American with a hotter chick than Koepka. Doesn't move the needle either. Next time you are in a room with your buddies and that Michelob beer commercial comes on...say, "Hey! That's Brooks Koepka!" Let me know how many of your friends have no idea who you're talking about.

Koepka made over $2 million for winning this U.S. Open. He can thank Tiger for that. Ratings were down on everything, including the majors before Tiger came back. Ratings go down, sponsorship money goes down, purses go down. I'd expect these U.S. Open weekend ratings to be horrific after Tiger missed the cut. Throw in the unwatchable course play on Sat. and Sundays ratings have to be low.

Zero personality. Typical golfer who does nothing to garner the interest of fans. Fans don't care about what Koepka does off the course. Fans want someone to cheer for. It's why Phil is still one of the most rooted for golfers on the tour. He shows you something on the course. Koepka is a cross fit caveman. Fowler is another good guy for the growth of the game. The PGA doesn't need dorks like DJ and Koepka. It doesn't matter how good they are. They do nothing to grow the game.

1. allow players to fix spike marks

2. allow range finders

3. quit going to pebble due to scenic views when they have poa on the fukkin greens

4. no clown show courses (see chambers bay)

5. move the tourney according to where its played. Its always in the north/northeast or west due to temperature. ultradwarf bermuda is just as good nowadays. either move the tourney to march or september according to location, or just fukkin allow players to wear shorts. fukk that bs of pants ONLY. they let pros wear shorts in sectionals but not the tourney.

They're not turning it over to the PGA anymore than the PGA would turn its Championship to the USGA. These orgs don't even compete, btw, incestuous would be an understatement.

And the USGA is political. Not sure how an organization that large can not be. So here's where we're going...

Next year, as you probably know, the PGA moved to May. I loved the rationale behind it - giving the lagging major a big boost.

So it's may 13-19 at Bethpage Black. Now, if Long Island has a spring anything like the one we had this year - the course will absolutely not be ready. There was snow on the ground all of april, last snowfell on 4/30 - there was not even leaves on the trees in mid may.

You guys think pebbles in a Shinnecock sand trap is a problem? (And it's not, btw) The PGA is taking an unforced and major gamble with mother nature.
