I'm talking about the well known (well known because they were deadly) SARS and MERS corona's not having any immunity lasting 2 years.

The current one is showing a few months, but some of those might not be unique cases as there could have been dormancy fromt he first infection.

Bottom line, there is no reason to expect a lasting immunity with this corona, yet it seems like a lot of news hinges upon it.

Not so sure they're ready to go down the cold vaccine, immunity booster route yet. But hey, if they can cure the common cold, perhaps they will. Or perhaps they won't as it wouldn't be good for the rest of the cold medicine business.

Because that is go to of our administration. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Older woman had it twice and didn’t survive. Younger guy had twice and second time hospitalized. He recovered.

I have no idea. This market is super-impressive as to pricing way into the future. There's going to be a Blue Wave and massive stimulus next year. Market saying we'll take that tradeoff.

Still think the market is way ahead of itself with robinhooders and the like propping shit up. But that could last until it's actually justified, I guess.

Big down day avoided today but I agree with the Snowball. The market is blowing off news lately and soon will drop like a rock. 3000 is quite far however but I guess it could happen. At this point we are too near an election for congress to do anything about stimulus. Politics is a game of leverage, and that is why we are getting a new Supreme Court Justice. The republicans have the power and that is when you use it. If the Dems had the power believe me they would not hesitate.
The stimulus has no winner. Even the citizens eventually lose because the stimulus has a long term effect after the quick rush. In the long run, no stimulus is the best answer. All of these people who are locked down and broke will need to move away or come up with a way to generate money on their own. Not trying to be an asshole, it is just the way it is. If you think stimulus is coming right after the election, maybe. It depends on who gets the leverage. The market saw a glimmer of hope on the stimulus front today after the Chupacabra had a melt down on CNN. She is feeling the heat as she should, but she rules her side of the aisle with an iron crypt keeper like claw. It would be surprising to see her capitulate. That would be a sign of her being a even bigger nut job than I thought. This is an easy play for the Dems, take the 1.8 trillion and put the pressure on the Turtle in the Senate to pass it. I don't think that cocaine Mitch has the votes and it would take some serious arm twisting to happen. The bottom line is the stimulus is unlikely to pass before Thanks Giving so if you're broke now, don't plan on any relief anytime soon.

Been buying Palantir here and there...was hoping to avg closer to $9 but looks like it might be heading in an uptrend, so loaded up fully in case it goes above $10. May even add more than I planned initially. Really strong believer here...

Ok, all the put options I sold against tech and gold stocks expire tomorrow. All are below my strike prices so I'll keep the premium but won't buy the stocks. Nice to get the free premium $ but now have buying power that I need to work through. Sure hope the Bears are right and we get the market pullback. Question is will gold stocks go down too??

I am now convinced that gold prices will move down to the sub $1800 level. Today, i'm selling a little more GLD. Also selling a little of my mining stocks for the near term (a week or 2).

postions are full on IPOB, PACB but if I were someone else I wouldn’t hesitate to start a position on down day, IPOB at 23 looks good, not sure how much further up pacb is going before consolidating

I bought a very small amount of NIU to watch mostly. Chinese electric scooters. Expecting a dilution so waiting for a dip. Share price is 32 but cap is small compared to NIO.

just unloaded half 1/4 my cash in Tesla. Bc...well you already know. Anything within 350-400 I would use 1/2 my cash and not even blink.

Minnesota Vikings looks like free money this weekend.

if you are invested and have made over 10% then you are on the recipient side of the wealth transfer. Congrats 🍾

Personally, I think the most important thing anyone can do for their family, ie my younger brothers, kids who work for me and even my parents is teaching them how money is created, the relationship btw Fed, treasury and banks and how they can manipulate rates, currency and stonks. Once you understand this you don’t have to sit back complaining, you can be on the other side benefiting. There’s a reason they don’t teach this stuff in public school and it’s to keep you dumb and broke.

Yes, knowledge is power. I can understand playing the system instead of being a victim of it. Good on you.

But then you have to ask yourself. Is it sustainable, were does this end, and is it the world you want to live in. You may end up with more of of something that is worth nothing. You can't eat a money sandwich.

Not to go off on a tangent but in addition to what TRob is talking about I'm also teaching my young children about their civil liberties, for example "you have the right to remain silent".
