i think the market dropped because it is in a high-volatility phase and the path of least resistance on most days is down.

markets take the stairs up and the elevator down, and some of the biggest up days in market history are during a huge down trend

Money out of market going into safety nets like bonds at <1% so fed cuts rate to spur investment in equities as they actually outpace inflation

The fed should restore faith in Gov, as a passive or inactive central bank would be a disaster

Now what? Isn't it hard to imagine going to back to the old highs now until and unless the corona stuff totally blows over and we see the financial effects from it. Seems like we may just see 2-4% daily ups and downs within 2850-3150 S&P. Buy on the lower end and sell on the upper end?

i flip after divs or or if i make half what i would make divs. if you follow this site you will see i gave out swks when it was 78 and sold at 125. Bought tsm at 38 and sold 59.Bought pags at 36? and sold 53. Bought vir at 16 and sold at 25. Kicking myself in the ass because now in the 40's. I have 4 stocks that i accumulate from extra cash. Pg,bmy and fb. Also lightweight bidu. i scour different sites to gather info. read where jcp ceo bought 50.000 shares so bought 5000 share at .87 cents and got rid of 1.15. Bought nio at 1.50? and sold at4.57. i like taking gains and jumping. i fuckked up by listening to mother on fb. Should of sold. now down 1500 just on fb. Bought ohi and lost 400 in a matter of days But waiting on 200 worth of divies.

Something is fishy as hell. most people dying are from the state of washington. they never went anywhere. I think it has been here awhile and they also had it in china. There is a conspiracy theory going around that china stole the shit from canada.

I think that's because a nursing home facility got hit hard. Close quarters and people of ill health. I think the truth is it's not quite as easy and prone to spread as people think and containment efforts can have real impact. I don't think it's a "spread like wildfire" situation. Here very close to where I live we had a husband then wife case in January at a hospital, which recovered, and now recently another husband and wife case doing well in another nearby hospital. I guess there could be additional unreported nearby cases, but none so far. Awareness and prep is good and all, but people are way too freaked out.

we have them at lackland afb. 3 hrs from here also down the gulf about 2 hrs away. the guy at target was wearing a glove. i called him michael jackson. he didn't find the humor.

proves there's more than one way to skin a cat... i'm more in the game for the higher returns and preferential treatment on long-term capital gains/dividends/reits (section 199a dividends)/preferreds

no idea why someone would buy a 10-year treasury for under 1% when there are some pretty good stocks paying 8%. if the world comes to an end, or shit hits the fan, the us treasury bond isn't gonna do you any good either
