klc, for the life of me...I can't place that picture. White guy in the middle looks awfully familiar.

Instinct tells me that he made his name. Wichita St made some deep NCAA runs in the 1980s. Kansas/KanSt/WichSt all made final8 one year, I think.

Think they were dry for a while, b4 the Greg Marshall era.

Thx, KLC. I haven't been a modern pro wrestling fan, so explains why I couldn't place him. Looked like a big kid.

Amazing that he could transition from Bask to Wrestling. And props to him on being ALIVE. I'm guessing that age 48 might be BEYOND the median age a pro wrestler can expect to live to.

Rice had the power numbers, but was more one-dimensional. WAR rates Lynn + DwightE higher, and I'll stick in the camp that they were better all-around players.

I remember watching this live. Cone's lips read "It was a curveball." Pitch came in pretty soft.

Cone was one awesome pitcher.
