Why are women no good at poker?

I'm watching the main event.

Sure they've got a few women commentating, and a couple of dealers, but I don't think there are any left in the field.

How come women can't succeed at this? It's not like there is a physical component at play. It makes no sense to me.

It's not that they are no good, but with less than 5% of the field women (field of 7000+) you're not going to see too many. Women just don't share the gambling aspect interest like men.

The last live tourney I played, a small wpt event, a woman made it to the final 5 with me before we all chopped

Yeah but is it chicken or the egg? Very possible they don't play and aren't interested because they aren't good at it.

The women where I play are the toughest. Just not many of them that play. This one older lesbian owns my soul. I think I have won one hand against her in all the years. It was a big one though, at least. Then the dumb ones that got money from their man are hard because you have no clue what the hell they are doing.

Yep. Much easier against good players really. Well, a lot of the time. Still can live off the fish, especially when they are drunk. But, the ones who just do erratic shit are difficult. They end up with the nuts out of nowhere, and cooler you.

Most bad players just want to gamble. I'm not interested in gambling, I like getting it in good. It's frustrating when you jam against a guy pre-flop with AK, they flip over 7-4, and get there.

It's just always been a dudes game. Women don't like sitting in a chair with 8 other losers while trading embellished stories for hours on end. It's weird because with sports I'm an all in bettor. Poker is a different story. I don't take random shots trying to win. Probably why most of my money lost was from sports, and not poker. So tempted to go play now, but I can't lose what I have, so I'll play scared. And scared money don't make money. Sunday is tough too.

Because there are not that many women who play poker compared to men. Women would rather spend their time doing something a lot more sociable than playing cards for multiple hours; especially nowadays with more and more nerds taking over the game.

Yeah. My mom is actually great at cards, but she works with numbers instead. She probably doesn't wanna sit down, and grind out money gambling. When she can make money everyday just going to work.

Men just like to gamble more. There are some great women players. They are somewhat cautious, except Selbst but she doesn't count. More sexy females who are intelligent should get into it. Guys don't take them seriously.

-Women aren't usually competition driven. Wanting to learn something new and go face to face with someone in competition isn't normally something females look to do. If women do gamble it's usually video poker or slot machines
