Right now Bitcoin is seriously flawed with scalability and couldn't be adopted by the masses because it just can't handle a large volume of transactions.
Also, should something change with regard to internet gambling in the US bitcoin would become an afterthought to most. Imagine if Neteller came back to the US market and all the sportsbooks offered it?
Of all the bitcoin users at this forum I'd bet none of them use bitcoin for anything else than gambling related transactions. Bitcoin isn't practical for much other than gambling and illicit activities.Comment -

If investing in crypto is not gambling, I'm not sure what is. Results are measured in months & years, not daily. Definitely not an action junkie bet, though, eheh.
If one's only use for BTC is sports gambling, then, until it is replaced, one should hope for its good health.... "We" certainly hear about it when BTC devalues during a cash out, not so much when it's going up....Comment -

V1sa will integrate blockchain tech. Every payment system will need to.
And so what if bitcoin will be worth $0 one day... that's like the lamest of possible predictions. Of course it will, same as US$, the internal combustion engine and the earth eventually.
Give us an actual prediction, and say when!
I predict Bitcoin, as a currency, will last longer than the US $100 bill does in this world..Comment -

#7714You guys need to think big picture. The moment it costs more than $1 to send a tx, it starts losing its purpose. The initial idea of bitcoin was a method to exchange currency quickly, similar to a credit card with less fees.
When bitcoin was at 20k it costs $20 in miner fee just to send a tx. That's ridiculous and not sustainable. Volume has decreased since that rush so fee has gone down but it is still something to keep in mind.
I've been in bitcoin since 2013. Sadly did not stay in it as long as I should...my friend did and made 250k, I only made 10k. At one point I owned 80 bitcoin. Was playing 5/10 PLO at the borgota couple years ago, guy told me to buy ethereum. He bought 1000 for $2 each. Should have listened to him.Comment -

Bitcoin finally entered a short term uptrend via technical indicators with support after bottoming around mid to upper 3000s, hoping it can continue support around 5000.Comment -

#7725"TD Ameritrade appears to be testing Bitcoin and Litecoin products"
[the_ad id=”36860″] TD Ameritrade appears to be testing Bitcoin and Litecoin products. According to Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, the US brokerage giant is testing LTC/USD and BTC/USD trading via an unknown symbol, CXERX. Affirming that the test is “not a joke”, Lee tweets, “It’s only available for paper trading on ThinkOrSwim right now. Search for […]Comment -

#7727I like that large markets are now in play. Before futures were opened for bitcoin, market manipulation was very common. When bitcoin was >$10k/coin, futures were not available. Good to see pullback today after a very sudden rise, which should happen in a somewhat efficient market.
Liquidated some of my position due to a lot of big wins recently but am keeping a good amount in BTC right now. Confirmed uptrend right now, hopefully will continue.Comment -

I don't know if I'm getting to know this coin really well or if I'm just getting lucky but I've been selling when the price starts going down and buying when it goes up. I picked up 8 coins this last time around. That may not sound like much but if I do it 12 times that's 100 coins and if the price hits $100 like I think it will then 100 coins is $10k.Comment
