Just got back from Vegas...couple thoughts

Had 2 dinners while in town last week. Steak house at MGM & Gordon Ramsey spot. Easily $150 a person with drinks. Those memories last a lifetime. Fukin guys worrying about where to get free water

No one is trying to stay on the cheap. It is just very frustrating when you can't even get Fair odds at a $25 minimum table and people are trying to charge you $5 for a squirt of coke that comes out of a fukkin bar gun.

They are basically saying you're going to give us all your money one way or another.

I just looked at my history, and I paid $5.25 from the strip to Old Vegas. And $11 from the Airport to the Strip.
It's all supply and demand, so the demand may have simply been higher my last visit....it was early in the NFL season on a Sunday.

I liked old Vegas downtown better than the strip.

Great friendly party feeling as well as not feeling like a chump paying huge rake and bad table game odds.

People smile and talk to strangers downtown. Not like that on the strip at all.

I was hardly in my room when not asleep and love the location and staff at the Plaza. For 20 bucks the Valet parked my car right outside door all week so going anywhere and getting back was easy as. Not waiting around for Ubers.

Only reason I went to the strip was to see a show and play poker with friends who wouldn't come down to old Vegas.

I only stay on the strip. I know it's expensive as shit. Hell, they charge parking at most of the hotels now too. WTF? I have an old ass Nevada drivers license that can get you free parking but damn, what a money grab. I draw the line on 6/5 Blackjack. Fukk that, I'm not going to just give them my money. The number of hotels moving to 6/5 is staggering. Tells me to play poker or craps.

The only reason to go to Vegas is to meet beautiful woman. Even that has gone to shit. Unless it's a holiday weekend the number of pretty woman has gone way, way down. San Diego and LA have much better eye candy.

I found the Southpoint in 2007 it was a hidden gem nice rooms low price I paid 39 bucks a night a few times.But people know about that place now very crowded all the time rates are low still but overcrowded and visn there now makes it worse.The M I love can get expensive love staying there but hate playing there.Red Rock is the same.This year maybe the first year ever that I do not go to Vegas.Visin has the betting sheets sent to you how awesome is that.The other reason to avoid Vegas now is the Hockey and Football teams coming.Low rates were the norm Sunday thru Thursday but those rates will go up big time when a game night is on.Try renting a car now.With the consolidated facility the rent a car place can take hours it seems and the buses are always jammed full.This year I'm Skipping Vegas in July and Going to San Diego instead in late August.

This is true. You can go to Disney World in the day and hit casino in Tampa 45 minutes away at night. You have better odds picking up a beautiful girl not on the clock in Biloxi, Niagara or even GreekTown than Vegas.

The strips no longer the strip. You can't even walk a straight line without having to go over an overpass or construction. You could walk the strip and see stuff going on both sides of the street. You can't even look across the street anymore it's so damn far away with all kind of pillars, plants, concrete in the way.
