Not really. Race relations were never good to begin with. It was all a mirage. I've spent time all over the country and have lived among lots of different people with different viewpoints. Racism has always been and still is alive and well folks. And for the record, I won't be drawn into a political debate because everyone has already made up their minds anyway, so it's pointless. Ultimately I think both parties have let us down, and I have viewpoints on both sides of the aisle.

The biggest failure as far as Blacks are concerned, is the fact that their "boy" did absolutely nothing for them. In 8 years, Obama has seen the murder rate amongst blacks skyrocket. Black males love to kill each other. Obama has done nothing to stop that. While most of Obama's other terrible decisions can and will be overturned by Trump, the mentality of blacks cannot be changed by him. Obama refused to admit that the black problem really lies within the black community. This "Black Lives Matter" movement is just a facade to cover the fact that black males are the most murderous group of people we have. If the Blacks do not change this themselves, then they will get what they are asking for.

My honest opinion:

Pros: the stimulus (if anyone has driven on the NJ Turnpike, they will understand how this helped travel between Del and NY); Obamacare (millions have healthcare now than before he took office); the economy and stocks (better off now than 9 years ago); stem cell expansion; Bin Ladin; Pell Grant Expansion; Fair Sentencing; gay rights (don't ask don't tell and marriage equality)

Cons: race relations (though I know people who were racists well before Obama took office but felt more freely to express this with social media); Obamacare (gave in on the idea of having a single payer which would have been better for all Americans and lowering the cost of health care); immigration reform; home related terrorism and mass shootings; forgetting the rust belt and south areas which have depended on factories and manual labor
