Cards did it with mirrors....they really don't have that much talent imo? They have that winning culture and play the game right but that will only take you so far. I've never even heard of some of their hitters and they don't have much power either? Holiday and Molina are pretty old too. They need to keep Heyward and find another stick somewhere

fred no offense but they are the blueprint for winning, I believe they also have made a deal with the devil but they pitch, they hit, they overcome injuries, they make smart roster decisions.

Basically a shame that divsion had to knock each other out this postseason...any of those three are solid as they come.

That's what I say. This is a terrible lineup and the pitchers aren't even that good.

Theo with the Cubs is the blue print. I have never seen so much talent on 1 team....maybe when I was a kid and the Big Red Machine....Bench, Rose, Morgan, Perez, Foster, etc. Hammel and Henricks suck but the Cubs will just buy some more pitchers from somewhere. The Cards have been great though!

Theo has made brilliant decisions no doubt but the Cards have been trucking the NL for years now....obviously a change of the guard is in order but everyone has been chasing them for a long while now. Maddon has been nothing short of manager of the year taking the young guys and keep them right up with the big dogs, same thing he did in Tampa. Maybe he overdoses on one a day vitamins or something to give the Pirates the edge.

Holiday will be 36 next year. The Cards will prob go out and pay someone like Justin Upton $20 mil/yr when the Cubs have 5 guys like that making chump change. I'm not a Cubs fans whatsoever but this team wins atleast 2 WS unless key guys get hurt?

cubs have the magic this year. we've had it for a long, long, long time. time to accept that we wont have it this year. it's been a good run, 4 NLCS appearances in a row, 5 playoff appearances in a row. hopefully can come back strong next year again like always.

Dude it was the 2014 draft. This is baseball. The jury won't be out for another 5 years at least for that class.

He's made one hell of an impact though.
