    Cards/Cubs Game 4 In-Game Thread MLB
Do or die for Cards.... I leave you with this tweet from the Cardinals:

The Cardinals have won their last 5 Division Series games when facing elimination. Good night <s>#</s>CardinalNation.

Not saying we win, but that is a great stat.... does it end tonight? I don't have a good feeling, but I don't have a bad feeling either.... If Lackey comes out and pitches great baseball like he did in Game 1 versus these same Cubs, the game is ours to lose. If he chokes, like he does all the time on the road, we'll see ya next year.

    Go Cards.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out what the true story is, I'm seeing both Cruz and Molina in in different places. Is it Cruz officially? I would rather start Molina and if he isn't feeling it, bring in Cruz. Whatever

And high3r you know I'm hoping for the Cards W but I predicted Cards in 5 too..... Come on boys, come on Lackey.

Now that I think about it... Cruz is a sure thing... a Sure B+. Molina would be a possibly A- or a possible C. Cruz probably the better play.

Shocked to see an opening line "soft" for the Cubs.

Oddly enough... public slightly on Lackey

Molina was cringing every time he swung yesterday. Clearly unable to compete atm. Hes gonna be an easy out if he plays.

                              Shut your mouth coach.

If the cubs win, in a month i guarantee you will be wishing that the annoying best fans in baseball had won over the insufferable chicago cubs fans that will come out of the woodworks. It's going to be fu.cking hell.

I thought Lackey got a wider strike zone than usual his last appearance. He kept clipping the outside corner. Trax showed they were mostly outside. It's all up to who's calling the balls/strikes. Lackey is beatable when he's not getting that call.

I'm old. I was going to such classes when the Chicago Bulls were three-peating. Now I'm practicing, in between posting.

People keep bringing up really random hypotheticals. Yes, any pitcher is beatable. Lackey is beatable. Umpires change. Lackey also went 7 innings and gave up 2 innings versus this team 3 nights ago.

Also accidentally posted this in yesterday's thread - if some people are okay with some juice.... Heyward is 9 for 18 against Hammel and on 5Dimes is -260 to get a hit. Batting 4th in the lineup he'll get at least 4 plate appearances, I like him to get a hit here, he's been hitting well. I'm also on Grichuk getting a hit, guy has a fantastic swing and -150 is great odds for him.

Molina can catch, issue is swinging the bat. So I could see him coming in late game. But do Cards have 3rd catcher?

No we don't, which is kinda why I wish we started with Molina and if he just doesn't have it today behind the plate or at bat, bring in Cruz. Now if we do use Molina, he will have to stay in all game even if he is hurt and Cruz will be used. Oh well, I still think starting Cruz is the right play.

Are we really factoring something with such a small and random sample?

The very first inning is the key for Hammel. When he's bad, he's usually bad right away. He's gotten clobbered in first innings quite a bit.
