America First will be the major and overriding theme of my administration.

We will no longer surrender this country, or its people, to the false song of globalism.

Americans must know that we are putting the American people first again. On trade, on immigration, on foreign policy – the jobs, incomes and security of the American worker will always be my first priority.

The nation-state remains the true foundation for happiness and harmony. I am skeptical of international unions that tie us up and bring America down, and will never enter America into any agreement that reduces our ability to control our own affairs.

Under a Trump Administration, no American citizen will ever again feel that their needs come second to the citizens of foreign countries

I don't understand how people can disagree with his main theme of America first....it's clear as fukkin day we more often than not get the shaft in these agreements and while acting as world police

It was a definitely a great speech, so many memorable lines.

America would do well to take heed of the following warning from Trump, as this has been the source of much pain inflicted on not just America but the West as a whole.

We need to be clear sighted about the groups that will never be anything other than enemies. And believe me, we have groups that no matter what you do, they will be the enemy.

We have to be smart enough to recognize who those groups are, who those people are, and not help them.

agreed. The entire speech was excellent. A masterpiece.

Even reasonable people like RK and kraken will agree it was a great speech. Acoochy will hate it of course.

I will admit, even Obama's first SOTU speech were great.

Trump now has 994 delegates and there are 572 remaining to be had. He needs 243 of those 572, which comes out to 42.48 %.

Funny how they don't talk about the % he needs anymore like they used to when he needed around 55%.

He needs 42.48% to get 1237 and that's assuming he gets 0 superdelegate votes.

Trump has this nomination locked up.

Highly unlikely IMO!

Trump has far better than a 50/50 chance to win Indiana. He still leads in all the polls. Indiana has early voting and a good deal of Kasich voters have already voted. Just the same, I believe Kasich voters hate Cruz worse than Trump. If you want to be an anti-trump vote you would just be voting for Cruz in the first place. Trump will win Indiana on Tuesday and Cruz will end his candidacy within 24 hours. There will be no New Mexico and Oregon if Trump wins Indiana because at that point its impossible to keep him from 1237. Cruz has even said it himself – he is “all-in” in Indiana.
