But it's better than paying a cashier $17 an hour to do what the self checkout aisles provide if it means having another store to shop at it still price matching the $200 a week grocery bill a family has with two kids vs shopping at whole foods and not being able to handle that increase. Or at the local small grocery where it's far more expensive.

Again....the people who work at Walmart have the bigger say in the matter than you or I do....and they stay there so they are free to work elsewhere at anytime or perhaps as I mentioned before on here...it's the only person who'll hire them so $8 an hour is better than $0 an hour right???

The cost of labor & supply & demand have nothing to do with one another.
