USA, UK, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Italy, lots of viable spots.

People are so naive thinking the NFL, NBA, and MLB are not corrupt. Steroids, videogate, deflategate, fixed lottery drafts, etc. Only think they do better than FIFA is control the media by paying them millions to write what they want. Then the naive US public thinks there is no corruption in US sports.

I don't think anyone doubts the corruption in just about every major sports league out there. FIFA just took it to a whole new level, and did it so flagrantly, something had to be done.

The sports you're talking about are at a level 3 in cheating and corruption, and we're talking about a full-blown level 10 here from the world's top sport. Not even really a comparison.

So South Africa gave FIFA $10 million in kickbacks to host the World Cup and NFL is threatening cities that don't finance NFL stadiums with taxes that they will take the team to another city if they don't oblige to their commands. This is actually the worst form of corruption.

Will be hard for FIFA to change the venue in 2018. Russia will likely sue FIFA for that and lawsuit could last a year or 2. As for Qatar, the top footballing nations will have to come together and consider boycotting it. A lot of nations footballing schedule will be affected by the 2022 WC.

Salt Lake City won the 2002 winter olympics hosting rights in similar circumstances but the venue was not changed.
