I don't understand anyone actually playing the Dodgers in this spot.

Kershaw has been vulnerable early, the Rockies scored some runs on him last week, the Rockies broke their losing streak with a clutch win last night, Rockies have a decent lineup despite their poor record...

And with all that you think the Dodgers win this game 74.6% of the time? (-295 right now). Wrong.

      Rockies ML or no play.

Kershaw now at -340 at some books. WTF

What is the highest baseball line someone has seen? I don't remember one being this high.

Mostly because of variance and bad luck. Expect him to finish the season with a low 2.xx ERA. Sadly for the Giants. Too many guys draw conclusions way too fast.

Kershaw may have started slow but it could be to his advantage later in the season.
also to add to his dominance on the mound today he scores a run to go with his 9k so far.

Yeah it's not wise to post that when LAD is winning because it looks dumb. But I want to say that anybody can get shelled or at least hit in Coors and Eddie Butler is the worst starter in all of Baseball. That's enough because LAD lineup 》COL lineup.

Perfect example for variance/bad luck right now. Mattingly let's him in too long. Bases liaded w/ 2 outs. Kershaw pzlled. LH RP in. Up against LH COL hitter. Double. Kershaw's fault? Don't think so.

That's right. Kershaw, good thing he " Sucks " . LOL. 10 k's, 4 hits & leaves the game to his bullpen who proceeds to blow it so far.

Randy Johnson used to be that high, it's never a bad idea to go against just for the hell of it. So many things have to go right to get a win in baseball, one bounce off a first base can mean a loss. Errors too, nothing worse than players making errors when u lay 340 on a game

Highest ever has to be Cliff Lee on the day he was traded to the Rangers in like 2010. Line was over -450. They lost. If I remember correctly, Rangers up 4 against the Orioles in the 9th and give up a grand slam (Feliz gave it up). Lost in the 10th.

Left on Base Percentage (LOB%) measures the percentage of base runners that a pitcher strands on base over the course of a season. This stat does not use the left on base numbers reported in box scores, but instead is calculated using a pitcher’s actual hits, walks, and runs allowed results:
                                        LOB% = (H+BB+HBP-R)/(H+BB+HBP-(1.4*HR))
Most pitchers have LOB%s around league average (which is approximately 70-72%, depending upon the season), and pitchers that deviate from that average tend to see their numbers regress towards average in the future. In other words, if you see a pitcher with a 60 LOB%, they are letting lots of runners score so their ERA will be high, but the odds are that they will strand more runners in the future and lower their ERA.
Not all pitchers will regress toward league-average, though: high strikeout pitchers have been shown to have some control over their LOB%. Pitchers that record a high numbers of strikeouts can pitch their way out of jams more easily than pitchers that rely upon their team’s defense, so they are able to maintain LOB%s higher than league average. Also, if a pitcher isn’t a major-league caliber starter — or if they’re a borderline case — it’s likely that their true-talent LOB% is below league average.

What is shaky about their pitching?

Their whole staff combines for a 3.27 ERA and ranks 4th in all of baseball. They have a 1.17 WHIP (5th) and a .234 BAA (4th).
In 18 of their 35 they didn't allow more than 3 runs.

Now they come off 3 games in which they allowed 5, 5 and 4 runs. And the funny thing about is, that 10 of those came in the 7th inning or later. And that was all because 3 relievers struggled. All young (Liberatore, Yimi Garcia, Paco Rodriguez). That was all.

These are 'minor' problems which are expected from a very young bullpen. A serious amount of proven or experienced relievers is on the DL, but they'll come back.

Shaky? I really don't get it. These are the things which guys say when they don't see the whole picture.
