from what i interpeted on that chart his maximum velocity is 95mph just like last year but his minimum velocity is slightly up

but from 87 last year to 90 this year???

where does it show the average velocity???

i have watched his starts and i have not seen a single pitch over 94

maybe the minimum velocity is up bc he is throwing less 2 seam fastballs which also may be why he is getting hit hard this year

we have come to expect better than he has performed.

He has perhaps the best curve ball in the major leagues. It's just devastating. But what makes him so special is his command and the ability to reach back and throw 96mph mixed with that nasty curve ball.

when he is on his game you pretty much have to guess right as a hitter.

Agreed, and it is well known April is always his worst month. Of course now that we are into May we are all expecting the 3 time Cy Young guy to emerge, well some of us are. I am sure he will come arounnd just like Mr. Kluber did.

All of his pitches have been hit more than in previous season. BABIP too high. He will get better. He had a BABIP of way below .300 on all of his pitches last year and this year they all have a BABIP of way over .300.
