Which is why it won't last. They are a carbon copy of the 2014 Braves. If they don't hit a homer, they won't score. They will go cold at some point, have to grind out some games to win, and won't be able to do it.

one caveat is if they start calling up their prospects or deal them for Hamels (which I also see as unlikely)

That's not entirely true, they lead the AL in stolen bases and are 4th in walks. That means they know exactly how to grind out wins, also their pitching is extremely good.

Lance McCullers Jr makes his MLB debut tomorrow night. I get excited every time one of these new guys come up.

In what kind of alternate universe does Tony Sipp's weak sauce hanging 78 MPH slider become literally unhittable?

Home team doing good with one of the best farm systems in the league. Rockets also in the playoffs. Good times in Houston right now.

Preston Tucker was a great call up. 2 pinch hit home runs. Hope they don't trade him like rumors have stated.

I can't believe the Astros are still on top in their division.

Are you guys kidding me? lol The answer is simple! The one the only.....Ryan Express is on board, along with his son Reid.....their fingerprints are all over this, the Rangers dissed Nolan when they didnt move him up in the front office. The Astros are here to stay for many years to come! Bullpen is much better this year..... yes last year was a losing year but compared to the year before it was good.... Nolan and Reid my friends... GO ASTROS kick the Cards as* in the WS one day!!!!

I would say no. Jeff Luhnow is the answer. He was with the Cardinals from 2003 to 2011. Since he has been with the Astros since 2011, he has been hammering the drafts and making great trades. Our farm system is one of the best in the entire league.

MLB is weak this year. A good AAA can win Astros division.

Baseball is such a fluky sport, every year teams who had a lucky year make it far, but in the end, the elite teams always win it all.

You guys do not know baseball clearly. Nolan has built a strong team in Houston, living in Arlington I am furious of this. Pavy a triple A team could win the NL EAST....Atlanta would be lucky to sniff last place in the AL West with that terrible pitching.

                                          Nats are underachievers as well.

George Springer injury is the straw that broke the camel's back. Guys can't score now with him out of the lineup. No use in trading for another starting pitcher, unless that guy can pitch shutouts every game.

I say move Rasmus to the lead off and Correa back to the 2, and Altuve to the 3. Correa and Altuve thrived in those slots, and Rasmus can hit for power and speed similar (not like) to Springer.
