i didnt lose money. lost 10.00, lost 10.00, then won 22.00, thats 2.00 won in total. i just couldn't remember if winning bet was included in initial investment when calculating roi.

You won $22 but $12 of that return to your account is what you initially bet so you only won $10 on that bet, not $22. You put out $32 overall, you ended up with $22 overall = -$10 overall.

what are you talking about? it shows up as +2.00 for the day in bet history... lets say i had a starting BR of 12.00. i bet that to win 22.00. it hits. so now i have my original BR back plus 22.00, then i lost 10.00 and lost 10.00 again. that leaves me with a BR of 14.00

Ah I think I get it now. Matt your book isn't showing your initial investment when you win. I'm used to where the return amount includes what you bet and I'm pretty sure that's what Darkside's looking at too. That $22 win is clear of the $12 you bet whereas at my books it'd be including it. My fault for not properly looking at the odds of your parlay.

So to answer your initial question your ROI would be 6.3%. Sorry mate... my fault for assuming yours was like mine.

You guys have me deleting and undeleting posts because I keep second guessing myself LOL!! But yes your book does it completely different. ie I bet a tennis player the other day and this is what I got:

1	Shuai Peng	Shuai Peng v Lauren Davis (To Win Match)	27/06/2014	None	+120	Won
Stake: 100.00 Returns: 220.00

So that $220 included my initial $100. In your case though it wouldn't have. My fault as I didn't bother to look at the odds in your parlay as I assumed yours was like mine.

To calculate it I was beyond the point of trusting myself anymore so I used this calc http://www.pine-grove.com/online-cal...calculator.htm

I should've added something useful along with the mess I made earlier. To calculate ROI you: (Profit for the day/week/month minus the total $ you bet win or lose) divided by the total $ you bet win or lose. So in your case it would be 2 - 32 / 32 = -93.75. Turn it into a positive by subtracting 93.75 from 100 = 6.25% rounded up to 6.3.

Don't worry about your ROI, daily, weekly or even monthly. It will drive you crazy.

Just hope that at the end of each quarter you are ahead of the game. If you want to calculate ROI in handicapping, don't do it more than 4 times a year....

I remember this guy ate a lizard or something when he was in the minors. Looks like he has been a reliever most of his career in the minors....no other helpful info.
