Ill be honest in that I do not know a lot of the ins and outs yet concerning healthcare but it looks like my health coverage for similar care to what I have now will be almost tripling. Hopefully not

Cruz wants to run for President in 2016, and there is nowhere else or any other way he could have gotten the amount of free media coverage he got by doing what he did. He was basically a unheard of Senator from Texas, he now has a national name that people may or may not remember come voting time, but either way it was a pretty good move on his part to get his name and face out in the media,JMO.

Why.... the fukk, are you talking about fukking socialism?
This thread is about a congress that has done considerably less than the congress labeled the "Do-Nothing" Congress.
These were the same shit we we running our mouth about in the 80's.

If you support it you have ZERO clue what is actually going on at all. It's not FREE and it costs an ungodly amount. Will cripple business and destroy the economy.

Doom and gloom is more overplayed than Obamacares usefulness.
It's the government - paying a trillion dollars to fix a billion dollar problem.
The problem, I stress, is the discussion. The same people calling Obamacare some legislative apocalypse thought raising the debt ceiling meant it automatically increases our debt.
It's so painfully wrong, people with a clue are bogged down trying to bring the shit-for-brains up to speed on basic facts.

I voted for Cruz 3 times. First in the Republican Primary, then in the Primary Runoff, then in the General. For the first time I feel like I voted for someone who actually is doing what I want him to do, and that is take on both democrats AND republicans.

Politicians will be the death of this country. We need term limits asap. I am going to put together a coalition of wise, forward-thinking American citizens to help me get a referendum on the 2016 presidential ballot to vote for term limits in the senate and the house! Who is with me? ............. Nobody? This is America in the 21st century, by the time anybody will get off their lazy entitled ass to do anything it will be too late. And you bunch of fukkin degenerates are the worst of the bunch. Shut the fukk up and do what you're good at. Pick some winners.

Term limits and a viable 3rd party. Until then, the right will maintain their absolute hijacking of the country.
Republicans I grew up with no longer have a party.

One way to find out what you will pay. Go to, healthcare . gov.
Here in Pa, we are 10th on the list for low cost insurance. (according to my local newscast)
The rates they showed, made my mouth drop. Very cheap. Don't know what the coverage is though.

Pretty good post. He is certainly doing something.
I like him but I don't agree with shutting down the govt.
The Dems are right that Republicans do not have the votes to defeat it so let's get on with the show. It passed congress and was signed into law so it is the law. Period. Trying to defund it is unAmerican. We Republicans have to respect the process without resorting to dirty tricks. The pendulum will swing back and we can correct this law and get on with a positive agenda in due course...just have to be patient.

No surprise that this evil, spineless jellyfish Cruz voted against himself, but to the low information idiots that this nut is a hero to, I wonder what excuse they'll make for him. First McConnell filibusters against himself, then this nutjob votes against himself. No wonder our Congress has single digit approval ratings.

Conceptually, I agree with him.
The right has been hijacked by the hijacked Tea Party. The founding members of that movement can't even self-identify with it any longer.
As a result, there has been a painful shift to the right by the democrats, where moderates are consider liberals, liberals considered american-socialists and the right considered religious zelots. And this is under the context that we were one of the most conservative, stick up our collective asses, western societies in existence.
I long for the days where Conservatives didn't have to talk in religious maxims and sell their soul to tea-partiers for fear of being outcast. Where they could actually attempt to do their job, even if they disagreed with the President. Where people who think our President is a socialist at heart were looked down on instead of championed by the party.
I long for the day in which the fringe right will be considered RINO's.
