Obama's been somewhat conservative when it comes to spending, regardless of the crazy BS chain e-mails your red faced uncle sends you. His spending levels have leveled off where Bush Jr. spent more and more each year until he finally had to bail out Wall St. and really spent. Obama's not very socially conservative. Maybe not at all since he's consistently saying one thing and doing another.


The fact the Dow has done what it's done likely doesn't have that much to do with Obama. Some but not much. The street goes up and down and the fact the dow is at record highs doesn't give a very good picture of the economy overall. Unemployment is still way up, lots of folks are under employed or working 1/2 time, some have two half time jobs. Basically under Obama the rich have conintued to get richer and the poor and middle class have continued to maintain the their position of bending over and grabbing their ankles.

In regards to the Dow, yep it's at an all time high... personally I'm locking things up, selling and taking profits lately. I just don't see it staying at these levels.
