                    Extremely bad investment

Easier to win at blackjack or craps

Cowherd still says he hit 71% and would have won the lvh contest last year.

Do you think people enter this contest and try to get lucky and win, and then use that new found fame at winning the LVH supercontest to go tout?

Did they change the rules? I thought the picks all had to be in by Friday?

Now they have to be in by Sat and you get to use Wed lines?????

I always thought the hardest part was the time/information constraint.

                                  1500 isn't bad.

Can you mail in picks or do you need runners? I thought you needed runners.

Just crunched the numbers for the contest so far. There are 1032 entries this year.

                                          Last Week: 2344-2816-0 (45.4%)
                                          Season: 4110-5802-403 (39.8%)

In it...off to a horrendous start 5-5. Signed up with a proxy since out of state.

Maybe not horrendous when looking at those numbers ^^.

If I remember correctly the initial sign most be done in person. Then plays can be entered each week via proxy

I email/text my proxy every friday with my picks. Wed night if I want to play a thursday game which I avoid since lines come out wed too. Had to sign up in person along with the proxy. Paying him flat 200 for the season, will probably tip if I happen to come up in the money though.

Proxy prices vary. But alot of guys try to lock in a % if winnings from the start.

Also, there was one quitter last week: Entry CAH, who went 1-4 in Week 1 and I guess decided to call it quits early.

If that is a sample of NFL bettors as a whole this year so far, books have done well so far. Even if you take the overall results, its 4110-5802-403 (39.8%) or a 12.5% edge for the house so far.
